I visisted first time, ordered cholle bhature You know what if we talk about quantity , one plate is enough for one person. But problem is bhature was so oily, if they would improve on this part, then best value for breakfast Then ordered masala chai, when I got its machine chai.. not home style .. taste was ok ok . i like homestyle tea.. Overall must try once & see if you feel like the same or better.
This is a great spot for all Indian cuisine lovers. We tried the tandoori panner tikka & Chana Bhatura, both were just delicious. Also, a very special shoutout to Harman. He is a true all-rounder. He was handling the bar, bringing food out & handling cash counter all by himself ! Overall great service & nice ambiance
Les ingrédients frais font vraiment la différence ici service attentif qui se démarque aussi. Agréablement surpris par la qualité de la bouffe & comment on est pris en charge. Worth it pour une vraie expérience culinaire.

I don't know why the people putting 3-4 stars. This place is awesome! The price for food is good, & much cheaper that in another places. Beautiful atmosphere , friendly staff. Food spicy & tasty! Highly recommend!

Just amazing, such a great find. The food was really good & the servings are very reasonable for the price. We had two main dishes, the Dal Makhani & the Kadahi Pakora, both were good, but the Kadahi Pakora was especially flavorful. Since a friend works nearby, we will take advantage to go again.
The food tasted good, but lately, there's been a noticeable decline in its quality. The service has become quite poor , with long waits for attention & orders."

I have a couple of things that I would like to bring forward but for the time being my 5 star rating is solely for the food & the upgrade that punjab canteen has achieved by opening this location. I am an old customer, rue liege location reminded me of punjabi dhabas. Good food, good prices & to the point service haha. I was super excited for this new location & finally was able to come from Ottawa to experience it. First of all, awesome upgrade! What a nice looking restaurant, great vibe, great lighting, good music & clean! Maza aa gya! Now we come to the food. My fear was that now with the upgrade the food must have gone down as it might get whitewashed to appeal to a larger audience. But when we ordered, not only the presentation had elevated but the taste as well! The achari chicken tikka was so soft, juicy & flavorful.. a must have! You guys are not stingy with your garlic on your garlic naan 😄 it was amazing! Everything we ordered was great! The quantity has sure gone down but the quality has definitely progressed. I don't think the quantity justifies the prices but it is understandable. I can compromise with that if the quality is this good :). Oh & I had the strawberry mojito.. yum yum yummmmmm!!! Now we come to the service. The service at rue liege was acceptable considering the vibe of the restaurant but now that you have this beautiful location with such presentable delicious food, I think it is time to train the servers to match that level of service that you guys are going for. I was greeted with a smile at the front, seated nicely by the male staff. The female staff just didn't seen to be enjoying what they were doing. The lack of enthusiasm was killing the vibe for me which the food made up for. No harm in smiling a little & being polite. I understand that it is a tiring job & we desis are sometimes not the best customers to deal with. I have worked in the service industry myself back in the days & I totally understand the type of crowd we can get sometime. But it is not fair to treat everybody the same way when you are representing a really good restaurant which is progressing so beautifully. A warm smile & a caring attitude can melt the toughest of crowds. This is the only constructive criticism I would give you guys. I love Punjab canteen & I am very happy for all that you have achieved! I wish the best to you guys for your future! My mother is coming from India so I will see you guys soon :D she is going to drool over that Dal Makhani!!!! Haha
Absolutely love the food & their staff members are really kind!!! The help from Harman is amazing! He's so nice & considerate!! One of the best Indian food I have tried!Vey nice experience & I will comeback! Great music tooo!!!
