Review Summary

Punjab Canteen is widely celebrated for its authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine, with many customers frequently praising the quality, freshness, and generous portions of dishes like the Amritsari kulcha, butter chicken, and various thalis. The majority of visitors highlight the welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere and the exceptional, attentive service provided by the staff, who are often described as warm, polite, and genuinely caring. While the vast majority of feedback is glowing and emphasizes a comforting, home-style dining experience, a small number of reviews point to occasional inconsistencies regarding maintenance, cleanliness, and service speed. Overall, the restaurant remains a highly recommended destination in Montreal for those seeking delicious, reasonably priced Punjabi meals and top-tier hospitality.

Sub par version of their chain, the seating as well setup is not organised. It is old & not maintained.

Even then they charge the higher prices, the price definitely doesn't correlate with the experience in this outlet.

Not worth the visit, instead visit the one near Snowdon.

Very slow staff & not focussed on customer satisfaction.

Amazing flavours & service! Anmol was our waitress & she took very good care of us. Next time we're in the area we'll definitely be stopping by! Try the Dal Tadka & the garlic naan, to die for.
