Great spot for lunch! Fast, friendly service, prices ok (for Old Montreal, anyway). I ordered the chicken pot pie, & it was very good. The sauce was maybe missing a kick (more white wine, maybe?), but the portion was generous & filled with juicy, tender chicken & the pastry was phenomenal. Some kind of side (steamed veg, green salad) would have been welcome for the price. Nonetheless, highly recommended!Voir plus

Atmosphere: Lovely, it's like eating in a restaurant from the 1700-1800s. Food: Amazing, everything was fresh & apparently it's made from scratch. Yes, they bake their own bread. The chicken pot pie is the best I've ever tried. It was suggested by the man seating next to us & he said it was his favorite chicken pot pie & that he went to this place every week to have it. He was right, it was amazing, & the price was fair considering the amount of food. We also had drinks (Lysa is a must try) & the smoked sturgeon as an appetizer, which was really good as well. It gets pretty crowded, but it was easy to get a table for two (Thursday dinner) & the service was so lovely they even managed to get us a table in the backyard, which is adorable!Voir plus
Quick, friendly, welcoming & expert service. The staff were wonderful, even explicitly searching for specific merch sizes for us at the end of our visit. The food was really great; every dish we had was interesting, presented well & flavourful, & the right amount of food. We are from out of town & visited on a recommendation from others. The restaurant is in a lovely old building in Old Montreal, with stone walls, fireplace, & different rooms, allowing for different table configurations. The atmosphere was lovely, the food & service was impeccable. The restaurant was not too noisy or too crowded, the seating was comfortable, the temperature was perfect inside & it was an all-around great experience.Voir plus

Really cool place for evening drinks & a bite to eat with good music. On the night we did have a significant wait on the food which we were not informed about but it was fine. The potted chicken, fish pie were good but the fries which accompanied the house burger were burnt which was a shame as they were nicely seasoned. Price wise probably a bit pricey for what is obviously pub food but the venue dictates that to some extent.Voir plus
