The mezze plate, burrata & fisherman pie were real standout dishes! We were seated in the outdoor terrace, where there was a fantastic ambience, great service & even dog friendly!View more
Amazing food & service. I mixed up my reservation & they were so gracious & kind & found us a table despite the busy Saturday night crowd. The food was very very good. Everything we tried - the hanger steak, the pot pies (so incredible), the fattoush - was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful evening.View more
Pub Wolf & Workman impressed in all the ways a top-rated restaurant should. The food, drinks, service, location, ambiance, & value; all excellent!
We made reservations well in advance for a Thursday evening at 7:30 PM. Upon arrival, we were greeted courteously & promptly seated in a dining room. There was a terrace at the back, which looked great & was full of people enjoying the good vibe.
The whole place was lively, with a vibrant buzz, but somehow it also felt warm, inviting & relaxed, as any place calling itself a pub should feel. The inside had an aesthetically pleasing mix of old-world, even luxurious charm, with a nice modern twist. Trendy, yes, but cozy, too.
Our server was very good. Prompt. Friendly. Bilingual. She listened & engaged & gave us bang-on recommendations. It was busy & she had several tables, but she was positive, attentive & readily available all evening. Great job!
The cocktails were on point. A Coconut Marmalade Horchata & a Wild Strawberry Margarita. I also had a nice pour of Murphy's Irish Stout. All were excellent.
We started with a delicious Howard Scotch Egg with maple syrup sausage, Branston chutney & arugula. Fantastic!
For our mains, we sampled from their famous'Pie Shoppe' & had the popular Chicken Pot Pie & Beef Stroganoff Pie. They were amazing. Eye-poppingly humongous & perfectly prepared. Which is better is a matter of personal preference (esp. re: chicken vs. beef), but in our opinion the Beef Stroganoff Pie was extra-delicious & peerless.
The Wolf & Workman left a great impression as a hospitable, somewhat upscale pub-style restaurant with a great offerings & a very nice blend of British/Quebecois vibe, right in the heart of Old Montreal.View more
Amazing food. The chicken pot pie & salad fattouche de sucrine was absolutely fantastic. Cream ale was a standout. Highly recommend this spot. Super chill. Great service too!!View more
Mind you we went here because it had great ratings & it did not disappoint! Gabriel was our server & she was excellent with perfect English & French (I presume). ;)
We sat'outside' on a warm day but were glad to have a seat. Outside is an interior open courtyard.
We only ordered what she suggested - croquette appetizer (amazing) & a chicken pot pie for me & a fisherman's pie for my wife. Both were as good as it gets. They also have great Quebec beer on tap & interestingly good cocktails.
Our first time together in Montreal so much to see!View more
Great pub with really good comfort food. I had the chicken pot pie & it was delicious. Service was excellent. The host who greeted us was very accommodating & moved us from an inside table to a patio table when we asked for it. A very popular place, even with all the street construction happening outside. Reservations recommended.View more
I enjoyed the steak tartare with their homemade chips. That was delicious. One of my friends had the chicken pot pie, which they quite enjoyed. Two people had the W&W burgers. They said they were pretty good, but they were quite red in odd places. Like not in the center. So they probably ate half of their burgers. But what they ate they enjoyed. It's just unfortunate that they were not cooked correctly. I also enjoyed a delicious spicy margarita type cocktail, which is the only thing I was able to get a picture of.View more
We went with friends. Starters where fine..meal for really ordinary. Trout was awful (dry & sauce with to taste). Waitress did not even ask if plate where find. I order a French fries cause I was starving (did not ate the trout) they where so bad i Don't understand how you can miss French fries. Waitress did not come fill our water. Really expensive for wat it was. Hubby did enjoy his pot pie though.View more
My boyfriend & I frequent old port & always look forward to coming to the wolf & workman during our stay. The courtyard is an incredible vibe in the summer, but eating in the dining room is equally as lovely. The staff are always attentive & engaging, & the food is always incredible. I'm not sure if the menu changes seasonally, as the last time we were there we had their escargot appetizer as well as their beef cottage pie, but this time they weren't on the menu. This time we opted to just split a bunch of appetizers since everything sounded delicious, & we were not disappointed. The cocktails are also extremely delicious, & I look forward to returning soon!View more
Honestly, the best bar in Montreal! Incredible service, a super friendly staff, & amazing food-especially the pot pie. I can't recommend it enough!View more
Such great service here! I asked to sit somewhere quiet, & they had the perfect spot. The waiter was so polite & friendly, she was fantastic. I ordered a wolf & workman ale & dinner. Get the chicken pot pie! It's a showstopper.View more
We have been here twice since we arrived for a conference in Montreal. The staff are friendly & welcoming & the patrons were friendly. Love this place, there is no crazy huge menu, what they serve, they do it well! I would highly recommend the chicken pot pie, OMG- Sooo good!! We have brought several friends here on different occasions & seasons & they have all enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. Cheers!View more
Bonne expérience! Il faut goûter le chicken pot pie, mais attention ce plat est disponible juste pendant le soir (pas à midi)View more
Good pub atmosphere, should have stuck with pub fare. The swordfish special was underwhelming & small. The pot pie looked very good. Very limited G options.View more
Cauliflower salad was great; lamb korma pie was under-spiced, & pork croquettes were mushy & uninteresting inside. The presentation, sauces & salads are excellent. Service was cheerful & polite, but could have been more proactive about navigating the minefield that is the cocktail menu (i.e, point out clearly that a drink has a weird ingredient like chocolate or banana liqueur!). Tonic was flat.View more
We got the burger & the chicken pot pie & they were both delicious. Fun atmosphere inside & very nice servers.View more
Absolutely lovely place, very friendly service & great ambiance. I am somewhat irked that a place that has great scotch eggs also has an incredibly delicious mezze platter. Marvelous hummus, wish I knew the secret. Would recommend to anyone looking for a delicious meal. The pot pie also has a fantastic presentation.View more
It's a great spot in the Old-Port. I really liked the atmosphere in their backdoor terrasse & their prices are good for the Old-Port . I had the opportunity to go for the Happy Hour which you can grab a drink at a good price. The W&W Burger was juicy & tender served with crunchy tasty fries. The caramelized onions bring an interesting taste to the burger. The fisherman's pie is also great, tasty & probably one of the best I ever tried. You really feel the taste of the mussels & clams & everything is well balanced. Both plates were well presented & good. As regards the decoration it really feels like a typical pub that you can find in the UK. An excellent pub in the old port where I enjoyed my experience & where I'll probably go back.View more
Great spot for lunch! Fast, friendly service, prices ok (for Old Montreal, anyway). I ordered the chicken pot pie, & it was very good. The sauce was maybe missing a kick (more white wine, maybe?), but the portion was generous & filled with juicy, tender chicken & the pastry was phenomenal. Some kind of side (steamed veg, green salad) would have been welcome for the price. Nonetheless, highly recommended!View more
Chicken pot pie is heavenly. Feels like a warm hug on a cold day. BravoView more

Lovely pub atmosphere & decor. The best Chicken Pot Pie i've ever had.View more
The chicken pot pie is the best I've ever tried. It was suggested by the man seating next to us & he said it was his favorite chicken pot pie & that he went to this place every week to have it. He was right, it was amazing, & the price was fair considering the amount of food. We also had drinks (Lysa is a must try) & the smoked sturgeon as an appetizer, which was really good as well. It gets pretty crowded, but it was easy to get a table for two (Thursday dinner) & the service was so lovely they even managed to get us a table in the backyard, which is adorable!View more
