Review Summary

Pub John Molson comes up as a handy airport stop for killing a bit of time, especially for a morning breakfast with a decent menu and a mix of food and drink options. The atmosphere is okay for an airport setting, and the option to sit and relax is appreciated since many nearby spots are express or takeout. Food quality is generally decent, with a vegetarian skillet offering large portions that are tasty, though a lighter choice is suggested for jet lag or fatigue. Service can be slow in the morning when only one server is on, but the area is arranged for quick throughput. The Montreal location yields mixed notes on the smoked meat, with some finding it fatty and requesting more meat, and attempts to heat a second package improving things somewhat but not fully satisfying. Fries are good, and there is disappointment about the soup selection, with potato bacon soup being declined. Overall, Pub John Molson provides a convenient sit down option in the airport to pass time, alongside a range of express options around YUL.

This is a decent pit-stop if you are looking to kill a bit of time when first getting to YUL. We had a few hours to kill in the early morning before going to the Ecomuseum & we dined here for breakfast.

The restaurant opens at 7:30 in the morning, but you'll want to have a bit extra patience as there is only one server opening. The food was decent, & the service is fairly quick for it being limited. The menu had a decent amount of food & beverage options & the atmosphere was okay considering you're right next to the arrivals area of the airport. I really enjoyed the vegetarian skillet; portions seem fairly large, but it was very tasty. I found myself nauseous after the early morning arrival, so I would recommend sticking to something on the lighter side if you're tired or jetlagged.

There is plenty of selection around YUL, but given most of it is express & take-out, this was a good alternative that allowed us to sit & relax rather than wander aimlessly around the airport to kill time.

Montreal Airport location: It is very very strongly recommended to the manager to purchase a different brand of Smoked MEAT that comes in a package - 1/3 of meat was fat - requested more meat & they did heat up a second package which was a bit better but please, find a different brand. We requested a more meat as the smoked meat was $24.49 Fries were good. Was hoping for a good soup but turned down a potato & bacon soup.
