Review Summary

Reviews describe Première Moisson as a solid, unpretentious bakery and patisserie with a broad range of fresh offerings from almond croissants and breads to pastries, sandwiches and cheeses, making it a convenient stop for a quick coffee or a sweet pause, especially for travelers arriving by train. The almond croissant is frequently praised, and chocolate hazelnut cakes or other desserts like "O lala au chocolat" are noted as tasty treats. However, experiences are mixed with reports of rude or slow service, particularly in the evening, long waits, or items arriving cold, and a tendency for older stock to be sold first at times; the payment terminal can feel odd and the place can get crowded. Overall, Première Moisson is seen as a reliable, varied option with many flavorful choices and solid quality that shines on certain items, even if inconsistencies prevent it from being a definite standout.

stopped by here to get a cake for my birthday & it was the best cake i've ever had. I believe it's chocolate hazelnut, it was so good! Only problem was that it was over $40 for a very small cake, but in the end it was very delicious

Overall pretty good but their stand alone locations are definitely better. Had the almond croissant which felt a bit stale but still very good. Also tried the praline covered croissant. It didn't really taste like praline but rather crunchy chocolate. It was pretty sweet but overall fantastic. It was pretty quiet when we visited so there was lots of seating available but it can get very crowded here.

Bought a cake, missing parts & cracked with chocolate falling apart & they charged me full price on the thing . Missing a piece of meringue, buttercream cracked which is sign of the cake being old & losing moisture, chocolate cracked & falling apart as mentioned earlier. Of course in the display they turned it to the best side so it's not apparent but can you imagine the surprise when i brought it to my parents place & opened it up. The box was also recycled showing a tag for a different cake ( tag reads Black Forest when the cake i bought was praline). There was a baked on smudge on the box when i received it & addressed it to the employee & she just took a few napkins tried to wipe it & said sorry it's baked on. Box was also torn & showed signs of being repaired or attempted to be with scotch tape. Old tape showing underneath as well. All to say I'm usually satisfied with their products but this time was a letdown, hopefully they well read this & improve in the future.

Picked up breakfast on the way to the train. Fantastic chocolate croissant, cheese baguette & sandwich. Exactly what we were looking for.

You know how every pastry shop in the world makes a chocolatine with 2 bars of chocolate in the middle? Well, these guys figure that one small bar is sufficient. That's all you need to know about these cheapos
