Review Summary

Reviews describe Première Moisson as a convenient bakery with many locations and a wide range of pastries and bread, where croissants are frequently praised and the atmosphere is calm and inviting for coffee with a pastry or a light bite, with ample seating and sometimes a terrace; service is often noted as friendly and helpful, and breakfast pastries are highlighted as excellent and fresh; some readers mention a positive experience with certain items and the warmth of the place, though others point to variability in quality across locations and the sense that some items are shipped in rather than baked on site, giving a more industrial impression at times; overall the chain is seen as a reliable neighborhood option with good plant based milk cappuccino and chouquettes and a broad selection for casual visits.

Been regularly getting their cheese bread & freezing them at home for later use. I had been going to the store for 3 years. Was very happy with the cheese bread til one day I got a loaf that despite being labeled cheese bread had no cheese, & tasted like plain old bread. When I went back to the store, hoping to get it exchanged I was met with an abrupt refusal. The "manager" pretended not to speak basic english, told me that she could see cheese on the bread & I should have come back sooner (I usually get several loafs & freeze some for later use, this particular loaf was the only cheese less one). Despite my attempt of reaching out to the head office, I did not succeed in getting my loaf exchanged; instead I was told that the bakers did add cheese to the dough mixture. I don't dispute that cheese was added but think the cheese might not have been thoroughly mixed or evenly spread which probably resulted in some loaves being overly cheesy & others not at all. On a side note I also used to get some desserts there, but for the past couple of months the quality has been going downhill (started before my bread incident) All good things come to an end when it comes to Premiere Moisson, my $$ will be spent elsewhere...their loss (a slice of the cheese less cheese bread is attached).
