This bakery is a local landmark, absolutely unique it its selection & quality as well as its authentic vibe of French patisserie. The variety of sweet goodies, jams, & bread will have you coming back for more. We first came for bread (sour dough & croissants) & then came back for their Mille feuilles & eclairs. Perhaps next time we will try their new tarts🤤 You do have to make eye contact with the servers & yell out your order before making your way to the cash register. Not sure what the rules are but everyone just makes it work & everyone gets served. 👍View more
Large bakery inside Marche Atwater, offering bread, French pastries, cakes, coffees, cookies , sandwiches. Everything looked so fresh & yummy. The tartlettes were one of the best I've had in a long time. Friendly staff. Lots of seating area.View more
Here you can buy fresh bread, ready-to-eat housemade food, cakes, chocolate, etc. I love the variety of fresh, nice bread you can find in this bakery. The baguettes are crunchy & tasty, plus you can get organic or gluten-free ones.View more
This cafe has become our absolute favorite spot for coffee, croissants, pastries, & bread. Every time we visit, we are blown away by the quality of their freshly baked goods. Their almond croissant, in particular, is hands down one of the best I've ever had in town. The flakiness, the rich almond filling, & the perfect balance of sweetness make it a true standout. Beyond the almond croissant, they offer an impressive variety of baked goods, all made with the same care & attention to detail. From the rich, buttery pastries to the perfectly brewed coffee, everything here is top-notch. If you find yourself in town, do yourself a favor & stop by this cafe. It's a delightful experience that you won't want to miss!View more

I do not purchase pastries or breads from here often as I try my best to eat natural ,organic, & / or biodynamic foods. However, sometimes I need a quick birthday cake or cup of coffee so this place still provides a very clean set up of pastries, ect, which are beautiful & have the traditional flavor profiles & textures one would expect. A plus is the staff are super professional & friendly even though sometimes they are slammed with customers putting in their orders.View more
Excellent Bakery Goods. Cakes are delicious. Tarts & pastries are delicious also. The bread selection is great 👍🏻 Service was slow but it is usually good.View more
The bread & croissants are very good here. There is a lot of variety & usually large selections, depending on the time of day. Where we find is sometimes hit or miss is when we order their premade sandwiches & croque monsieurs. For this reason, it's not our go to yet we have become a custom, too order things that please us.View more
Good for a 1-time visit when going to the market, not good if you try to be a regular customer. Today, as usual, staff were disorganized & not paying attention to the line. Two women butted in front of me. I thought they were just looking closely at the breads & would move aside when the employee came. No, they started placing their order. I said I was next. They looked shocked that I would dare. The employee stared at me & didn't move, he didn't know who to serve, like it was some kind of moral dilemma. Meanwhile, a second employee at the bread counter was in a drawn-out chat with someone who already paid. She could have come & both orders would have been taken, but ignored it. This kind of situation has happened many, many times at the bread counter, & at the counter for lunch on the other side. It's the first time I speak up. It looks like employees don't know what they're supposed to be doing & some customers take advantage. It's routine that people will butt in line whether the place is full or empty, & staff don't notice or do anything. It's not worth the hassle.View more
Nice boulangerie with wide range of breads, croissants, cakes, cookies, breakfast & lunch options. They have a larger seating area & all the servers at the counter are welcoming!View more

Premiere Moisson is a delightful bakery that truly captures the essence of artisanal baking. Each visit is a sensory delight, with the aroma of freshly baked bread & pastries filling the air. Their croissants are buttery & flaky, a perfect testament to their commitment to quality & tradition. What sets them apart is their use of fresh, local ingredients, which you can taste in every bite. From the delicate pastries to the robust, crusty loaves, everything is baked to perfection. It's more than just a bakery; it's a culinary experience that brings a piece of French baking artistry right to your table. Bread, desserts & pasties are very good but their breakfasts are average.View more
I live close to Atwater market & I visit this branch of Premier Moisson at least 3 times a week. While I love their pastries, bread, Quiche, you name it, I was very disappointed in the fact that one of their staff members didn't understand the concept of hygiene or why she wore gloves for that matter. I happened to witness her go through an entire jar of coins (tips) to give the customer ahead of me, his exact change. She literally touched at least 15-20 coins, having flipped over the entire jar & then put all the coins back in. Naively, I assumed she would change her gloves after having touched that many coins, or have their courtesy to use tongs while touching the croissant I ordered. When she brought me the croissant, I had to say something, to which she responded if I had to do that every time, I would go through 100 pairs of gloves a day. I'm quite shocked honestly, that someone in the food industry doesn't understand basic hygiene. Don't see myself going back there, unless I'm buying something packaged & sealed.View more
