This place is absolutely my favourite fried chicken place in Montreal (& one of my favourite restaurants here period). The chicken is some of the juiciest, crispiest & well seasoned chicken I've ever had, & coupled with the overwhelmingly friendly & congenial atmosphere Poulet Fou & Frit is pretty addictive. I find myself thinking of eating their fried chicken at least once a week! It's reasonably priced too, making you want to come back regularly. The owners & staff are all super kind, generous & really want to make sure your dining experience is a happy one. They're amazing. Couldn't recommend it more! Definitely somewhere I go & bring friends :)
P.S. My favourites are just the regular Fried Chicken (Spicy) & the Chicken Burger (Bun Bun).View more

Listen, i don't care who owns the name Maffeo's or which chef is there, the fact of the matter is this is some damn good fried chicken. We came while a local sports team was having a party, so you can really tell this is a mom & pop shop with real values that care about what they serve. Crispier than Yamcha's spine & juicier than Android 18, the family combo also packs a ton of value. My spice-loving girl was ACTUALLY satisfied (for once) with the spicy level of their hot oil. All in all, such wow, very value, much recommend.View more

I recently dined with family here, & had an outstanding experience. The high burger was flavorful & perfectly cooked, while the crispy chicken was delightfully crunchy & seasoned to perfection. The onion rings were a standout-crispy & delicious, & the French fries were golden & well-seasoned. The fried chicken is really juicy, & the spicy version is really up my alley, without being too hot. The skin is crispy & crumbly, different from the onion rings' batter, which is more like a smooth fish-&-chips beer batter, with a nice crunch. The onion rings snap well, with no gluey stringy onions slipping out of their shell. Now I must try the rest of their menu! The owner & staff are jovial & funny, clearly proud & happy, & they should be because this is a special place full of heart. This is a standup joint. I had a problem with an Uber delivery. Since Uber wouldn't do anything about it, I called the restaurant. They took care of it, no questions. I fully realize that it was neither their responsibility nor their obligation to rectify the situation. Nevertheless, they did. Quality service. Excellent food.
