Review Summary

Pony BBQ Coréen comes across as a lively, visually striking Korean BBQ spot with a generous, shareable format and lots of side dishes that are restocked throughout the meal. The meat variety and quality are frequently praised, and reviews highlight attentive, fast service and a warm, energetic atmosphere that makes it great for groups and celebrations. The decor and vibe evoke Korea, with fun details that add to the experience. While portions are often ample and prices reasonable for the amount of food, some guests find the place loud, the smoke from grilling intense, and ventilation inconsistent on busy nights. A few dishes earn mixed notes on flavor or authenticity, but the overall sentiment is very positive and many guests say they will return. In short, Pony BBQ Coréen is regarded as a top Korean BBQ option in town for tasty meat, generous sides, and a welcoming, convivial environment, especially for group outings.

Pony 🐎 was such a pleasant surprise for a Saturday night out! I didn't take as many pictures as I should have because I was too busy enjoying the food & drink haha. We got the combo for 4. Food was of delicious quality & the quantity was abundant as well! We were a group of 4 & all left completely full & satisfied. The drinks were also on point. We partook in soju as well as the sake & for a little post meal digestive we ordered a pitcher of soju cocktail that the bartender custom made for our tastes. Now possibly the best part of the evening. THE SERVICE! The staff was amazing, welcoming, attentive, helpful, & fun. The bartender-who's name I did not get, tall blond guy -went above & beyond to make sure our specific tastes were met. As well our server (Hanat) was a true gem, & made the whole experience next level. We will definitely be back! The laid back, hip vibe that this restaurant offers , on top of the great food makes Pony a MUST for a Montreal night out.

Overall: 3/5 Good in taste quality, | Price vs. Value: 2/5 - Unfortunately, considering the price, the quantity of ban chan & especially the meat left much to be desired. The portion size was surprisingly inadequate, given the price tag of nearly $100. Despite the quality, the overall value for the money was disappointing, as we didn't feel full by the end of the meal. | Menu Variety: 2.5/5 - The restaurant offers a good variety of options to accommodate diverse tastes. However, it falls short in addressing specific dietary needs, lacking combos for individuals who cannot consume pork or beef. Additionally, the limitation of one stove per table complicates matters for those with dietary restrictions. | Ambiance: 3/5 - The decor was quite appealing, & the choice of music, although not bad, was slightly loud, making it challenging to engage in conversations. | Food Quality: 3/5 - The meat's quality was exceptional, offering a fresh, delicious, & tasty experience with a pleasing texture. However, a minor drawback was that the bibimbap arrived a bit cold. | Hygiene & Sanitation: 4/5 - The restaurant maintained good cleanliness throughout the establishment, including the restrooms, ensuring a hygienic & sanitary dining environment. |Service: 5/5 - The staff exhibited the utmost professionalism, courtesy, & responsiveness, providing an awesome dining experience. Service was consistently prompt.
