Quaint restaurant in a small but busy area of Montreal- we dined here expecting a dinner but we had an experience. To food. The food! We were a group of 5 & shared the menu highlights. Oysters were fresh & tasted of the ocean- perfect. Crispy frites & flaky, moist cod fish was fantastic. Octopus that was so perfectly cooked, I was impressed as this is a tough dish to perfect. We also shared the seafood platter which was a stand out, the true Caesar salad, & crispy calamari. A beautiful lemon dessert rounded out the night. I wouldn't recommend passing this place up.

Nice ambiance with a lovely terrace. Friendly service without feeling rushed. Beautiful & tasty food with a descent wine menu. Great place for fresh seafood with platters for sharing. Expect to pay around 100$/pers including a couple of bottles of wine & appetizers.
Delicious food, but service needs improvement
We had dinner at Restaurant Olynicks & the food was truly excellent. The Escargots gratinés are a must-rich, flavorful, & perfectly prepared. The $1 oysters were fresh & delicious. The Assiette de pieuvre grillée was ideal for sharing if we had known in advance, we would have split it!
Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. We waited 25-30 minutes before our server greeted us, & the oysters were brought out at the same time as our entrées. Then we waited another 35-45 minutes for our main courses. This seemed like poor coordination from the server-the oysters should have been served first, followed by the entrées & then the mains.
The kitchen did a fantastic job; the issue was with how the meal was paced by the server. We'd definitely return for the food, but we hope for a smoother service experience next time.
Was an awesome supper, everything is super fresh, octopus dish was simply delicious! Our waiter, Benjamin, was attentive, friendly & very pleasant! Highly recommend this restaurant!!
Small intimate setting & excellent service & the crab is so fresh & amazing, only feed back would be that the wine list could be expanded in terms of red by the glass, & possibly one more fish main course option

Had a wonderful Group dinner @ Olynicks The food was absolutely amazing so fresh & the presentation was beautiful. the location is great! i would highly recommend this resto & will be a returning customer myself. Thank you to the staff for taking care of us & making our evening a great1 !

Excellent , great service .
Best seafood in town , we love this place . We are client to La Poissonnerie . You cannot go wrong with the fresh products offered in store & the restaurant has a small but wonderful menu . If you are a seafood & fish lover , that is the place to go .
