Review Summary

Overall Pointe Claire Deli is fondly regarded for its cozy atmosphere, strong brunch menu and generous portions, with many diners raving about items like huevos rancheros, smashed potatoes, avocado toast with halloumi and the fried chicken plates, and praising friendly service and a laid back vibe when staff are at their best. Despite the praise, reviews frequently flag family friendliness as a concern due to no high chairs or changing tables, stroller restrictions and tight booths, while some customers note accessibility and bathroom limitations; service can be variable and prices sometimes feel high for the value, though others celebrate the quality and atmosphere and say they will return.

IF YOU HAVE KIDS - SKIP THIS PLACE. NO HIGH CHAIRS NO CHANGING TABLES.
I have always loved this place, food is incredible but if you have kids I would skip it. From the sign that says no strollers (which I can understand because the place is small) but then when I came in with my 3 year old & 8 month old not even thinking twice that of course they would have a high chair.. NOPE not one all they have is ONE'booster' that has zero attachments. Luckily I had my own booster in the car. It's surprising to me that a family run restaurant or restaurant in general wouldn't try even a little to accommodate families. Might as well put a sign outside that says no kids allowed. We had originally sat in a booth with the loose booster my baby almost fell under the table then I said ok I'll just hold her but the booths are so tight she was squished. I realized I had my booster in my car so I asked if we could switch to another table in the back with chairs.. the man at the front was seemingly annoyed (maybe I was just being sensitive because I was so extremely flustered but now after reading all the other reviews about kids & having a negative experience I must have been picking up on something) I then began transferring all my stuff to the other table (alone with two kids it took a few trips) no one offered to help me.. my baby with one sock (the other had fallen under the table I gave up on trying to get it) & my toddler almost in tears (I wasn't far behind) I don't know if I'll go back certainly not with my kids. You are in the hospitality business.. from what I read the owner says it's not a play ground which I agree. We were not bothering anyone I made sure my daughter didn't climb on the booths didn't touch the mirror & cleaned up after myself as best I could when I was done. I don't know there needs to be a middle ground somewhere or just make your establishment adults only ? Or at least make it visible online that you don't accommodate young children? Just an idea!

I'm disappointed to leave this review as the Pointe-Claire Deli is one of the only places in Valois to go for a sit down meal. However, as a new mom, the no stroller rule is rough. I understand that it's a tight fit, but it makes it hard to go there with a baby, & I think the owners intended for that. It's also not breastfeeding friendly as the booths are too small. The table is too close to the body. Therefore, it's also not accessible to people in bigger bodies. Finally, there is no change table option in either of the bathrooms. I do like the food very much & the relaxed vibe. The servers have always been attentive. But I just feel it's not mom/ family friendly.

The server tell me that we dont accepte stroller its a rule! Thats its sad! Why humains make ridiculous rule! Please next time just give a explanation why we can not have stroller & be gentle!
