This place is GREAT. Good food, good music, relaxed atmosphere. The service is friendly & efficient. The tiramisu raspberry pancakes are amazing; I hope they will come back on the menu soon, though I really appreciate seasonal menu changes! I also tasted the benedict eggs & one of their sandwiches on other occasions & those were delicious as well. It's my new favourite breakfast spot, over Janine/Régine which I used to really like.
Our last visit was last summer, first time we'd been back since last year, used to love this place. Today when we arrived, we were told to come back in 20 minutes because even though several tables were open, the kitchen couldn't keep up. 20 minutes later we came back, & it took 40 minutes to get served (the restaurant was a quarter full, nothing crazy, almost nobody got served during that time). Finally, my eggs Benedict were hard-boiled, potatoes super salty, bacon under cooked. Staff was kind but food not worth the wait, too bad.

Went there for lunch yesterday around 11h45 for lunch. Place was full but there was no waiting. Waitress 5/5. Ticket time a little long but worth it.
My husband had fried chicken & eggs. I had some kind of hamburger with bacon tomato mayo with yellow sweet buns. It was delicious. Just can't remember the name. Smashed potatoes, different but tasty.
Things to fine tune: learn how to present the food. When it arrived, our plates looked unattractive & unappealing.
Would def go back.
The place needs an overall lift, it looks neglected.
Food & service 5 ⭐?
Also, not wheelchair friendly/access or bathroom.
Lots of parking
UPDATE AUG 2026
Went there today
Ticket time is still horrendous.
They changed the whole menu
So no more cheeseburgers & most of the lunch items have been removed
Mostly breakfast place
Will not return for sure. If I want a breakfast place I'll go to Cora's
The perfect renewal of an older institution. Food is delicious! Clearly the person who designed the menu is a pro & the kitchen staff know what they are doing with their consistent execution. Old school vibes with a no bs menu items that should have something for everyone.
my girlfriend & i go at least twice a month to eat out here & we love it, we always go on mondays so it's never super super busy. we usually come back for the amazing food & less for the service but today we were served by Micheal (amazing glasses btw) & we loved him!! he was present, quick & so sweet! if it were Micheal serving everyday we would eat here everyday! slay micheal 🤏🏻🤏🏻🤏🏻
One of the best diners I've tried in Montreal. What I loved most was how low-key & unpretentious it felt. The service was genuinely warm, with that classic North American hospitality, the portions were generous, & the food was delicious. Overall, a fantastic experience, & we will be back for sure!
