Il y avait beaucoup de choses que j'ai appréciées dans ce restaurant au niveau de la bouffe, l'ambiance, le cadre mais il faudrait vraiment insister auprès des serveurs sur l'importance de sourire. C'est crucial pour les clients d'être accueillis avec un grand sourire lorsqu'ils sont servis. Le manager était bien amiable!
Première expérience au Sofia de Laval. Arrivée à 7:50 , entrée servie vers 9:20 repas servis à 10:15. Je suis une personne très patiente à la base & très empathique face au service de restaurant qui peut être difficile face au manque d'employés, mais je crois quand même qu'il serait intéressant de prendre des mesures quand le service est plus long qu'à l'habitude. Commentaire constructif : Est-ce que se serais possible de laisser du pain sur la table quand le service est plus difficile? J'avais vraiment faim & quand on a demander au gérant quand nos plats allaient être servis, on s'est fait répondre qu'il y avait beaucoup de monde ce soir.. ok? Je comprends tout à fais, j'aimerais juste manger un peu avant de faire une chute de pression dans le resto. Le vestibule d'entrée : Est-ce possible de trouver un fonctionnement ou d'installer une chaufferette spécifique pour éviter que le froid de l'hiver se propage dans tout le restaurant ? J'étais assise loin de l'entrée & je sentais quand même le grand courant d'air glacial. Repas : bien évidemment, vos spécialités doivent être les pâtes & les pizzas. Malheureusement je ne mange pas cela & j'y était pour la fête de quelqu'un. J'ai goûté aux pâtes & c'était très bon! Pour le tartare, j'ai dû boire une bouteille d'eau en entier à moi seule pour combler la déshydratation instantanée face a la quantité de sel dans mon repas. Prenez le temps de chercher la photo de spongebob lorsqu'il se retrouve dans le bocal de Sandy sur Google , ça va vous mettre en contexte. Le saumon était frais, le goût était bon même si c'était très simple, je penses qu'il serait important de revisiter les saveurs pour les personnes qui ne peuvent pas manger de pâtes ou de pizzas. Musique : Ce matin, je me réveille avec des acouphènes, encore sourde de la veille. La musique est bien, mais je me retrouve également avec une voix de matante Ginette qui fume son paquet de cigarettes en 3 heures & qui crie BINGO! Du plus fort de sa capacité pulmonaire, sachant que je ne fume pas, & je ne bois pas d'alcool (mojito virgin très bon ! Je recommande). En conclusion, je ne sais pas à qui se restaurant est réellement adaptée, est-ce un restaurant chic? Aucune idée, j'ai dû regarder des policiers faire des « random Chek » qui était clairement du profilage racial durant 1 heure de ma soirée au minimum. J'ai observer un homme danser seul sur le coin du bar en prenant de puff de sa vape pendant 2 heures. Les gens sont n'y jeune, n'y vieux. Mais je vous avoue qu'attendre sa nourriture si longtemps, on a le temps en masse d'observer les alentours du restaurant. Puisque je suis une personne qui vois la lumière même dans le noir absolu, je peux dire que c'est une espace rempli d'ambiance & j'ai eu du plaisir avec mes amies. Le serveur était à l'écoute & très gentil, j'ai vu qu'il a fait son possible malgré cette soirée achanlandée, merci Michael Anthony.

This is a beautiful venue with an upscale vibe & good food. However, you leave having the feeling that the number 1 thing this place wanted to do is milking as much money as possible from you. First of all they ask you for flat or sprinkling water. The flat option you get an Evian glass bottle, they say they don't have tap water which is quite surprising given even the fanciest restaurants in Montreal serve tap water. So there goes 30$ for water for our table of 5. Then the shrimps & calamari appetizer comes. It's s a small portion with give or take 15 pieces of calamari & 2 (yes Only Two) pieces of shrimps. Seriously? I can't but feel screwed over. I don't mind paying for an expensive meal but this is for me not decent behavior. The pizzas were good & large in portions but not particularly special.
This is a nice cozy restaurant in Laval. There is one intrance fron st martin street, & other one from the hotel you go to the first floor. It was fully crowded Saturday night, need reservation. The service was good, excellent food & nice atmosphere. Excellent pizza !! They bring a small cake with a candle for birthdays. I recommend it for sure.
I was staying at the times hotel & went out last night with my sister to sofia at 8h pm for dinner . The guy at the door with long hair was so rude & said they were fully booked for the whole night.. we went on the online booking & found a table for 9h pm available 👀 ! Then there was at less more than 5 police officers 👮♀️ walking around the restaurant it was very weird for a restaurant.the music is very loud & not enjoyable, other than that the food was good & our actual table server was nicer . I dont think i would come back .
The Diavolo pizza, rigatoni vodka rosée, kale salad, were all delicious. I would recommend all three. The rigatoni is homemade. Nice sauce. The pizza is made in a nice big pizza oven. Thin crust. Delicious toppings. You could see & smell them slicing prosciutto. Mouth watering. The kale salad has pecans & a beetroot dressing, with goat cheese. So friggen good.
We went on a Wednesday night in early October. Although we couldn’t make reservations online, they had space for us. The place was pleasantly busy. Beautifully decorated.
To park, you have to drive past the restaurant & go into the hotel parking lot behind.
The drinks were a good size & you can taste the alcohol.
The only thing is that it is very expensive. I had half a pizza, half a portion of pasta, half a salad & two gin tonics. With tax & tip it cost me 100$. That being said, I would still go back.
If you are looking for a great place to enjoy a good meal with drinks & awesome atmosphere in Laval, Pizzeria Sofia’s is it! We have had too many good experiences there to count. The staff is too kind & courteous. & the food is delicious. I highly recommend for a simple night out or a special celebration you will have a fabulous time!
You'll have a good time. But this place is more show than anything. Premium price for a mid experience overall. Forced to pay for water is ridiculous & should not fly anywhere
