We just came back from Sofia & all we have to say is the service was excellent, food was excellent. My husband & I shared salmon tartare, oysters & we each had a pizza. Portions were a good size & it was soooooo delicious. Yes, it was a Tuesday night & our reservation was at 5 pm so yes it was calm. Our waitress Elsy was #1 the whole time & the busboy Mateo was charming too. Around 7ish, more people came & service was still very good. We are definitely coming back. Oh & my negroni was fantastic! Highlight of the night: that mini bottle of Tabasco was so cute!!!
We don't understand the negative comments about the restaurant. It's 2026, let's not be a Karen or a Kevin anymore please! Yes it was a bit pricey but the quality of our meals matched what we paid for. If you find it too pricey, stay home & let others enjoy the restaurant.

Dont know why this restaurant gets ripped so bad but its really not that bad
Fried calamari top
Octopus was fine just nor big fan of the hummus underneath but was cooked decenrly
Service was good
Pizza was decent 7.5/10 if we compare to il foccolaio
My veal scalopinni was very nice honestly
Didnt try the pasta

La meilleure pizza en ville !
Service personnalisé & attentionné. La nourriture est authentique, savoureuse & toujours fraîche un vrai coup de coeur pour la pizza & les saveurs typiquement italiennes.
Je recommande à 100 %.

Excellente expérience à la Pizzéria Sofia Laval! 🍕
L'ambiance était parfaite & la nourriture tout simplement délicieuse. J'ai pris la pizza, un vrai délice.
Le service était impeccable, les serveuses sont non seulement magnifiques, mais aussi très courtoises & professionnelles.
Je recommande sans hésiter'hands down'

2 pizzas + 1 verre de vin = 90$ avec pourboire 15%. 2-3 employés sont venus nous voir, mais jamais venus nous verser de l'eau. (1x avant d'avoir les plats)
Pizza bonne & bonne grosseur
Machine TPV commence à 18% & + pour le pourboire… faut pas exagérer tout de même! J'ai changé le (%) à 15%.

Tout le contraire de Roxanne Latulippe. Attention au stationnement, on vous dit que c'est gratuit & de valider votre billet avec le terminal à la fin du repas. Mais on ne vous dit pas que c'est pour deux heures & puis quand tu viens pour sortir la barrière n'ouvre pas. Tu dois payer, tu rentres te faire rembourser & on te dit que c'est pour deux heures. Je ne connais à Laval aucun resto où on doit payer pour stationner…
Service bien ordinaire, pas le sentiment d'être important. Groupe de 16 pour célébrer un anniversaire. Restaurant presque vide à 18h30. Aucune explication ou suggestion de notre serveuse. Service lent.
Il y a tant de choix de resto possible, svp occuper vous de votre groupe expliquer le menu, bienvenue chez Sofia est ce votre première visite ?
Aucune chance que j'y retourne il y a tant de resto pourquoi irais-je dans un resto ou c'est relativement cher & où le service est plus qu'ordinaire. J'oubliais ma pizza sauce blanche était sans intérêt, mais de belle portion. Mon vin lui excellent pour la bouteille la moins dispendieuse à 55$.
L'unique positif est l'esthétique & le confort au resto.

We had an anniversary dinner for twelve. I had read the reviews & was worried before getting there. However I had no complaints about the service. The service for our table was great. The restaurant was not completely full though. The food was good & everyone enjoyed their meals. The pizza is not a Neapolitan pizza. It is Roman style pizza. so thin pizza all around. Our whole party had fun & did not have complaints. The only reason I put 4 stars for atmosphere is that the music was a tad loud. not so loud that we could not hear ourselves but still slightly loud. otherwise everything was good.

We made reservation & the reception at the desk was mediocre.
Pizza was not as mentioned on the menu. Capriocciosa without mushrooms, artichoke I ask for Rochette, over charge me $3.50 for 10 leaves. Very disappointed for our first time at this restaurant. Probably the last.

The service was good. The food was not what I expected. We were 5 people & only 1 main dish was you can say worth the price you paid. The vegetarian pizza looked more like a Margherita pizza. I counted 10 zucchini, 4 eggplant slices, 5 half sliced peppers, & 2 oyster mushrooms. Hardly any cheese. You can say the bare minimum for the price ($26). The pasta dish with sausage & rapini looked like an entree dish. The salmon had a tablespoon of rice & a couple of leaves of vegetables.
The only presentable dish was the prosuito pizza, which looked good.
I understand the cost of food has gone up, but the plates looked miserable.
I can think of many other Italian restaurants to go eat where you get your money's worth. This place I would not recommend.

Ambiance felt cold & unwelcoming at times. Food was okay but not great pizza was lacking ingredients & plates sizes were small. All in all it was an okay supper nothing more.

Pizza veg tres bon, portion généreux! Prix environ 28$! Fait au four, un peu brûlé!
Appetizer calamar, crevette bon: portion pour 2 personnes max.
Pizza vegan , generous portion, good, calamari looks fresh served with a good sauce!

Bonne expérience pour un repas en couple. Les cocktails ne sont pas donnés…! Car la présentation de c'est derniers n'est vraiment pas extraordinaires. Les entrées sont goûteuses & satisfaisantes. La pizza margarita a un bon format, excellente, croute mince & très bonne sauce tomate. Une pizza à deux est une bonne portion..! On a fini notre repas avec deux Canadianos (americanos) un peu timide. On va y retourner, merci

J'ai adoré cette place. Le personnel est gentil & accueillant.
Un très beau restaurant, celui de Laval sur saint Martin.
La cuisine est excellente j'ai beaucoup aimé la pizza & la salade Cesar
Ma fille est coeliaque & ils l'ont bien accommodé. Je retournerai c'est certain.

This is a very honest review. The food was good, had a gluten free pizza, didn't wow me but it was delicious nonetheless, the male waiters service was exceptional, they are amazing workers. My issue is that is it so overpriced, I only ate a pizza & had to pay 40$, let me explain. The pizza was 28+4$ for gluten free, understandable, what i don't appreciate was that we were there for a birthday, & they charge 5$ a head, yes a head to slice the cake, as a customer (whom even explained to the waitress that I'm not having cake because again gluten, but this aside) I feel robbed, you are not allowed to cut the cake yourself & charging 5$ a head to cut a cake is absolutely ridiculous! So I came out only having eaten a pizza which costed 45$ tip included. This in my opinion is for those who like the atmosphere (yes it is lovely) & just want the glamour. Nonetheless, as I said the food was still good so it honestly only comes down to your budget. Personally it was simply overpriced & overhyped.

Great feeling at the restaurant. I think the drinks were amazing. The food is well plated, but the flavours fall short. We were party of 10 & no one raved about their meal. For $30+ / pizza & pasta you want it to have a nice palette of flavor. Desserts were mediocre as well. Portions are good. -- Service is always a hit or miss depending on who you get. Our waitress didn't even come back once to ask how the food was & had a hard time keeping track of who ordered what. She changed multiple bills due to errors & then came to the table shouting "who ordered the ice cream" ... No one changed seats, so billing should not have been such a big ordeal. -- Our dinner started at 8:30pm The waitress didn't not take our order until 10:30pm. She also forgot to ask me what I wanted to eat & seeing she rarely came back I had to wait for her.... To which point I just shared from the plates of others as it was approaching 11pm. -- Other info ... No parking, you have to park at the hotel parking lot or the BMO bank. Not a kid friendly environment. They don't even have plastic cups.

Meh...food is mediocre for the price. Service is friendly, the restaurant is nice, but music is too loud. Pizza was served cold...for a pizzeria, that's unforgivable. Will not be back.
