Pizzeria Sofia serves authentic Italian-style pies crafted with a focus on traditional dough preparation and high-quality fresh toppings. The menu highlights a variety of pizza combinations ranging from classic margherita iterations to creative ingredient pairings that cater to diverse taste preferences. Diners find a range of Italian staples including pasta dishes and robust tomato-based sauces prepared with consistent culinary techniques. Each meal emphasizes the balance of melted cheese, aromatic herbs, and crispy crust textures that define genuine pizzeria standards. The interior provides a functional space suitable for efficient meal service, focusing on the quality of ingredients rather than elaborate presentation. This establishment maintains a commitment to the fundamental principles of pizza craftsmanship by utilizing specialized ovens to achieve optimal heat distribution across every serving.
Reviews for Pizzeria Sofia are highly polarized, reflecting a divide between guests who adore the chic atmosphere, cocktails, and authentic Italian dishes like the wood-fired pizza and tiramisu, and those who feel the experience is inconsistent. While many diners praise the warm, welcoming service and the vibrant, trendy decor, others report issues with excessive noise levels, pricey menu items, and occasional lapses in service quality or portion sizing. Some visitors have encountered challenges with reservation systems and parking logistics, leading to mixed feelings about value and attentiveness. Overall, the establishment is frequently described as a beautiful spot for dates or special occasions, though the intensity of the experience can vary significantly depending on the timing of the visit.
There was potential. Are managers reading these comments to try to correct the negative parts of peoples' experiences?
We were greeted politely, seated outdoors promptly as & given menus. A busboy came quickly too to pour water.
It took at least 15 minutes for the waiter to come take our drink /food orders.
Paperplane was tasty, sparking water served with lemon as requested. But no ice. No big deal.
Salad came out in decent time & was tasty.
It took quite some time before main dishes arrived. The pizza ok but slightly undercooked. the fettuccine fungi was tasty but lukewarm.
We wanted to make room for dessert & so we had leftovers to box. No one came in our section or tended to us for a good 30 minutes. By the time the waiter came we decided to forget about dessert & coffee as we were already annoyed with the wait time.
Love, love love, 100% enjoyed the entire experience from the moment we were greeted at the door to the moment we were seated. Restaurant is easy to access with plenty of parking. The staff was warm friendly & very quick. The food came faster than we expected. The drinks were amazing. The quality of the meals was beyond expectations. The drinks were beautiful.I have nothing negative to say about this particular location.
This restaurant is always very good. Food is always good but a bit on the pricey side for what it is. Drinks are also crazy expensive here & they don't even use top shelf alcohol for cocktails. My martini made with sky vodka was 20$!
The parking is also quite annoying. Especially in winter. There is no front parking. You either park underground at the hotel or in the back of the building which is quite far. You can also park at BMO at night, but again, it's a bit of a walk.
Friends have said that they find their meals bland, the things I've ordered though have been good but if you want something even better I'd say to go try Corneli in laval. Crazy good food but service is meh for now since they are new.

Everything was great. The food was amazing, the drinks were fantastic & the dessert was fantastic. Only downside was the ambiance was too loud. The music & because of how close the tables were to each other, it was hard to have a conversation as we had to scream but minor detail. The food made up for it. Only took pictures of the dessert.
Great feeling at the restaurant. I think the drinks were amazing. The food is well plated, but the flavours fall short. We were party of 10 & no one raved about their meal. For $30+ / pizza & pasta you want it to have a nice palette of flavor. Desserts were mediocre as well. Portions are good. -- Service is always a hit or miss depending on who you get. Our waitress didn't even come back once to ask how the food was & had a hard time keeping track of who ordered what. She changed multiple bills due to errors & then came to the table shouting "who ordered the ice cream" ... No one changed seats, so billing should not have been such a big ordeal. -- Our dinner started at 8:30pm The waitress didn't not take our order until 10:30pm. She also forgot to ask me what I wanted to eat & seeing she rarely came back I had to wait for her.... To which point I just shared from the plates of others as it was approaching 11pm. -- Other info ... No parking, you have to park at the hotel parking lot or the BMO bank. Not a kid friendly environment. They don't even have plastic cups.
The food was ok, not the best. Drinks were overpriced. The waitress suggested an entrée platter that wasn't on the menu, which was a mix of the entrées offered, as a "better option" instead of buying separate entrées. Turns out, we ended up paying more than we would have had we taken the entrées separately. What we got as a platter to share between 3 people was a small portion of calamari, 3 lamb chops & 3 small pieces of octopus. For 120$!!! Had we taken them separately we would've got the same amount for 80$... We brought it up to the waitress who said "ouin c'est plate" & she couldn't do anything about it. We asked to speak with the owner & after we explained the situation to him he was was rude & said "you're not getting anywhere with me" & walked off. No solution or compromise for us, no explanation, nothing. EXTREMELY unprofessional & rude. Definitely won't be going back !!!
I really had a good time with girlies place was nice my waitress was super friendly & kind drinks were good had a good photo session the esthetic was giving baddie LOL no honestly I would revisit 💯 I recommend
The Diavolo pizza, rigatoni vodka rosée, kale salad, were all delicious. I would recommend all three. The rigatoni is homemade. Nice sauce. The pizza is made in a nice big pizza oven. Thin crust. Delicious toppings. You could see & smell them slicing prosciutto. Mouth watering. The kale salad has pecans & a beetroot dressing, with goat cheese. So friggen good.
We went on a Wednesday night in early October. Although we couldn’t make reservations online, they had space for us. The place was pleasantly busy. Beautifully decorated.
To park, you have to drive past the restaurant & go into the hotel parking lot behind.
The drinks were a good size & you can taste the alcohol.
The only thing is that it is very expensive. I had half a pizza, half a portion of pasta, half a salad & two gin tonics. With tax & tip it cost me 100$. That being said, I would still go back.
