I honestly don't recommend this place. The service was very bad. We wanted more water & a waiter brought a bottled water without asking us if we wanted bottled or tap water... ended up getting charged 8$ for water........ & he took away the bottle with him after filling up half of the cups we had. & on top of that he was supper rude & dry. If you wanna have a good time don't go to this restaurant.

We were greeted politely, seated outdoors promptly as & given menus. A busboy came quickly too to pour water.
It took at least 15 minutes for the waiter to come take our drink /food orders.
Paperplane was tasty, sparking water served with lemon as requested. But no ice. No big deal.
Salad came out in decent time & was tasty.
It took quite some time before main dishes arrived. The pizza ok but slightly undercooked. the fettuccine fungi was tasty but lukewarm.
We wanted to make room for dessert & so we had leftovers to box. No one came in our section or tended to us for a good 30 minutes. By the time the waiter came we decided to forget about dessert & coffee as we were already annoyed with the wait time.
On était hier vers 18h, la serveuse était perturbée, elle a pris la commande deux fois, une petite souris se promène à coté de nous, on a changé la table & on a prévenu la serveuse mais aucune prise en charge ou courtoisie, on avait un enfant de 5 ans, pas de menu enfant, la serveuse a la fin nous a oubliée, on a commandé un espresso, elle ne l'a pas ramené, on a attendu un bout de temps & après on a appelé un autre serveur pour l'addition & c'est la où la serveuse s'est présenté pour le paiement…la décoration est trop belle mais le service est nul….j'ai commandé des raviolis, la sauce était brulée….l'autre plat de spaghetti avec fruits de mer, trop de sauce tomate versé …soirée gâchée. Pas une place pour inviter une personne qui vient de l'Europe

Two friends & I had a table on the terrace at Sofia's on a Saturday night. When we arrived, there weren't many customers but by 9:00 it was quite vibrant. Other than my friend's mashed potatoes being over salted, the food was great. It was promptly brought to our table shortly after ordering. Unfortunately, the service became very poor after we received our main dishes. It took too much time to get the dessert menu, to order our desserts & coffees, & it took a while to receive them too. We had asked for water & it was brought to us 20-30 minutes later. I'm pretty sure there wasn't enough waiting staff. I will definitely return to Sofia's but I do hope the service will improve.

On top of it the tiramissu is not to be missed , very delicious & everything comes fresh !!

Lovely experience at Sofia in Laval! The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was beautiful & welcoming, & everything was clean with great presentation. The platters were a bit small in portion size, but the food was very tasty & full of flavor. Overall, a nice place to enjoy a nice meal!
We had a wonderful family dinner here with our kids. The food was fresh, authentic, & full of flavor-real Italian food. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, & the service was friendly & attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meal, & we look forward to coming back.
