We went to Sofia on a Friday night as a group of seven. First challenge: no parking outside, so I had to use the indoor garage. The sign at the entrance said parking would be covered if validated by the restaurant.
When we arrived, our group had already placed their orders, so I added mine - a glass of wine & a main dish. The restaurant was full, so I understand it was busy, but it took quite a while for the wine to arrive. There was no water on the table, & we had to ask for it ourselves. Throughout the night, our waitress rarely checked on us, even as she passed by several times. We had to ask a busboy twice to find her.
The food, however, was excellent - very tasty & well-prepared. That part definitely lived up to expectations.
I wanted a second glass of wine later, but again, our server was nowhere to be found. When I finally managed to get one, it took a while too. At the end of the meal, I asked her to validate my parking ticket, which she claimed to have done.
We stayed about 45 minutes after paying - just chatting, stepping out for a smoke, & asking for more water. But when I got to the parking exit, I was surprised to be charged $8. Either the ticket wasn't properly validated, or the validation window expired during our stay - which wasn't clearly explained.
Overall, I'd give the experience 3 stars:
• Food: excellent
• Service: lacking
• Parking situation: frustrating
It's a beautiful place with great food, but the service & unclear parking policy really took away from the experience.View more

This restaurant is always very good. Food is always good but a bit on the pricey side for what it is. Drinks are also crazy expensive here & they don't even use top shelf alcohol for cocktails. My martini made with sky vodka was 20$!
The parking is also quite annoying. Especially in winter. There is no front parking. You either park underground at the hotel or in the back of the building which is quite far. You can also park at BMO at night, but again, it's a bit of a walk.
Friends have said that they find their meals bland, the things I've ordered though have been good but if you want something even better I'd say to go try Corneli in laval. Crazy good food but service is meh for now since they are new.View more

Great feeling at the restaurant. I think the drinks were amazing. The food is well plated, but the flavours fall short. We were party of 10 & no one raved about their meal. For $30+ / pizza & pasta you want it to have a nice palette of flavor. Desserts were mediocre as well. Portions are good. -- Service is always a hit or miss depending on who you get. Our waitress didn't even come back once to ask how the food was & had a hard time keeping track of who ordered what. She changed multiple bills due to errors & then came to the table shouting "who ordered the ice cream" ... No one changed seats, so billing should not have been such a big ordeal. -- Our dinner started at 8:30pm The waitress didn't not take our order until 10:30pm. She also forgot to ask me what I wanted to eat & seeing she rarely came back I had to wait for her.... To which point I just shared from the plates of others as it was approaching 11pm. -- Other info ... No parking, you have to park at the hotel parking lot or the BMO bank. Not a kid friendly environment. They don't even have plastic cups.View more

tout excellent par contre hier moi & ma copine on a stationne a l'intérieur & on a scan le coupon pour pas payer le parking intérieur par contre après lavoir validé avec une employé qui était au bar on a scan le coupon pour sortir & tout les deux on a été chargé pour le parking donc je voulais Just vous laissez savoir que on a été chargé & que votre system fonctionne pas malheureusement je sais pas si vous êtes au courant mais voila merci & bonne journéeView more

The Diavolo pizza, rigatoni vodka rosée, kale salad, were all delicious. I would recommend all three. The rigatoni is homemade. Nice sauce. The pizza is made in a nice big pizza oven. Thin crust. Delicious toppings. You could see & smell them slicing prosciutto. Mouth watering. The kale salad has pecans & a beetroot dressing, with goat cheese. So friggen good.
We went on a Wednesday night in early October. Although we couldn’t make reservations online, they had space for us. The place was pleasantly busy. Beautifully decorated.
To park, you have to drive past the restaurant & go into the hotel parking lot behind.
The drinks were a good size & you can taste the alcohol.
The only thing is that it is very expensive. I had half a pizza, half a portion of pasta, half a salad & two gin tonics. With tax & tip it cost me 100$. That being said, I would still go back.View more

Food was really good. Get the gniocchi. It was to die for. The atmosphere was great. We felt kinda rushed at the end even though there was a lot of empty seats. Service was good. I recommend this location. Parking is a bit rough. People were parking at the bank next door.View more
