What a disappointing experience I had at Magpie a few weeks ago... ordered the mortadella pizza (which at $25 is already expensive enough on its own) with a gluten-free crust (the most expensive GF extra I've ever seen). I received a pizza with a couple paper-thin slices of mortadella & barely any visible cheese on it. At that price, I would've expected far more toppings. The GF crust was good, very decent texture, although a bit sweet for my taste - but definitely not amazing enough to justify a $7 extra! I was really looking forward to being able to eat at such a hyped-up place, but at that price I did not find it worth it.Voir plus

Had a great time with my father. We had 3 different pizzas. Our favorite was the Italiano.
Shooting my shot here: I do commercial insurance & if ever you are interested in getting a second opinion on your current insurance plan for the pizza shop let me know.

At the end of a Wednesday evening dining in Mile End, we stopped, ordered the Bolognese & a tiramisu to go, & sat at the cute bar for a glass of wine. We met Matthew & Clara, had a wonderful conversation & simply enjoyed the ambiance. The food was delicious when we got back, but we'll remember the hospitality of them both at least as much as Magpie's food.Voir plus

via LibroI like the place, the food is very good in general but this experience was very bad. The restaurante was almost empty but it took more than 1h to get our food & when it arrived it was COLD. The waiters were good & nice but it was hard to get their attention. The ambiance is nice & cozy but the music was so loud that we had to yell at each other & could barely talk.

Pizza was not crispy & undercooked. They ran out of chocolate chip desserts & the espresso was awful.
A good Italian coffee should have orange foam at the top. This looked like drip cofeee
The waitress was very nice & friendly
