Reviews of Pikolo Espresso Bar describe strong coffee, a warm, cozy atmosphere, and friendly, knowledgeable staff, with highlights including silky cortados, latte art, and a range of pastries; some comments mention well-priced options, reliable wifi, and a welcoming vibe for working, while others note occasional inconsistencies in coffee quality, crowded peak hours, limited pastry variety, and experiences that felt less inviting due to service style in certain moments; overall the place is seen as a solid go-to for a quick cafe visit or a longer study session, popular for its craft drinks that tell a story.
I searched for four days for a good cold brew. Finally found it on my last day! The two baristas were amazingly warm & welcoming, & my cold brew was delish. I only need to order two, upon my return! UPDATE: Was just in Montreal for a few days, staying far from Pikolo, with friends. I had one night on my own, after they'd left. & I booked the hotel closest to Pikolo, JUST to get their coffee. I had a flat white with Oatly, & I can STILL taste it. There's a local coffee company near me & their slogan is that they ruin coffee for people. (meaning no one else compares.) I think Pikolo has ruined coffee for me. I don't love the nearby hotel. But, OMG, I DO freaking LOVE Pikolo. Got a cold brew for the drive back. Cold & fresh & tasty & potent. I also got the friendliest damn barista in North America. Though, that seems to be a general staffing theme. Thanks for ruining coffee for me. Pikolo is delectable!
We took an afternoon, walk to go & grab a coffee somewhere & found this little gem. The coffee is quite tasty & the view is very nice. It's just in front of Place des Arts. Delicious drinks, in a very nice part of the city.
If you're looking for a chill space to have your morning coffee, with loads of light & great staff, this is the place to go. Not a lot of room, but it makes for a cozy atmosphere.
Delicious coffee. I went quickly just to grab coffee while running errands & I regret not having the time to sit. The cafe really is lovely & I look forward to going back to sit & enjoy the atmosphere soon.
