Food is so-so, paying slightly higher then the regular breakfast places. Ordered the smoked salmon avo-toast, which was light on the salmon & missing dill. Also had the florentine eggs, the potatoes were great but they skimmed on the cheese & flavors.
I can't say enough about this restaurant! We had a baby shower at the Pigeon Club Cafe last Sunday. The hall downstairs was the perfect venue for our brunch! Our server Gabriel was amazing & extremely attentive. The food was excellent! Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffle fries, smoked salmon, pancakes, yogourt parfaits & a fruit platter! Coffee, cappuccinos, lattes & of course no shortage of Mimosas! Thank you Lindsay & the Pigeon Cafe for making this a huge success 💕
Lovely discovery-this restaurant is simply outstanding! From the decor, to the welcome, to the customer service, & what can I say about the taste of the food… Yes, the service was a bit slow, but that just speaks to how popular the place is. Nothing more to add except: you have to try it! & for us… see you next time! Sooo yummy.
We had: the berry pancakes, the avocado & salmon toast, & two eggs with bacon & extra avocado 😋😋😋
The experience was somewhat disappointing. We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning & service left a lot to be desired. Coffee & water were not refilled very frequently. If it would've been busy, it would've been somewhat understandable, but staff were standing around in groups congregating instead of serving customers. We were sitting on the main floor & they use the space between two tables as a corridor, we were at one of those tables despite reserving in advance & the place not being busy. It was annoying. We were also near what looks like a bar area & had our conversations interrupted by blenders that sounded like they were breaking ice. I found the pricing was similar to breakfast restaurants, however, portions were much smaller. Roughly $18 for two smallish pancakes. One Mediterranean toast with one egg roughly the same price. My 76-year-old tiny mother-in-law with a small appetite wanted to go eat after eating her breakfast, as did my wife.
Overall, not the kind of experience I was looking for, nor will I return for.
Amazing restaurant for brunch!! I came here on a saturday, & thank goodness i made a reservation because the restaurant was packed!!! They have so many options on the menu & everything sounds so good, it took me about 20 minutes to decide what i wanted.
I took the Shoey's Breakfast Bagel with a side salad & it absolutely did not disappoint!! The bagel was delicious, & so were the eggs, the bacon, etc. The salad was also veryyyy good; the dressing in the garden salad is amazing.
The service is great, waitress was very attentive & even though the resto was busy, she came to check up on us countless times. Water was refilled often which is also amazing!
In terms of the decor, the resto itself is absolutely stunning! The place is so well decorated, i love love love it.
It was my first time eating at a pigeon cafe & i loved my experience. I will 100% be back!!
Beautiful café with polite staff & a nice atmosphere. But!!!!the food was very disappointing!!! We had already eaten breakfast at the airport & just wanted to share two shakshukas between four people. The shakshuka came in a large pan filled mostly with tomato sauce & barely any eggs - really not good. Also, the staff kept coming every couple of minutes to check if we were done, which made the experience feel rushed & uncomfortable!
Very good food. Request for gluten free & explain to the waiter properly as some do know the risks & other are less knowledgeable. I got the steak & eggs with a side of potatoes, overall very good! GF rating 6.5/10
Visited this establishment for only the second time today with two friends, over lunch. I ordered Shashouka. The dish was so salty I couldn't eat it. I tried to use the brioche bun provided to eat at least the egg, & the halloumi( which is expected to be salty). The tomatoes tasted as if the it had been salted three times. Our waitress never came to ask how things were after I started to eat. Our water bottle was also not replaced when empty. After about 40 minutes she came back & my friend pointed to my 80%still-full plate & explained that I couldn't eat it. The bills arrived with no apology from waitress, no attempt at restitution on the bill, nothing. Other things worth noting: all servers reached across our table to put down our plates & coffees. No'excuse my reach', no coming to the right side of the table. I guess it's hard to train staff basic manners. Last time for me at Pigeon Café. So many other places to give leave my retirement dollars! ☹?
Great breakfast. Eggs were perfect. Waffle fries crispy outside, tender inside. Ordered extra toast, & avocado. Fresh squeeze OJ isnt in the pic.
I came looking to buy a pigeon. Ended up buying brunch instead.
Pigeon Cafe is a hidden gem in the West Island with its unassuming exterior but stunningly beautiful interior decor.
Everything that we purchased was excellent with the exception of the Brown Butter Eggs Benedict. Firstly, as seen in the photo, the meal didn't come with bread & the waiter had to bring us bread on the side. Secondly, the eggs were very watery & upon popping both eggs, the plate was flooded with the water that the eggs were boiled in which made for a very watery & bland dish. This happened with both eggs & unfortunately this ruined the Eggs Benedict dish for us.
The other three dishes that we had were delicious & I would order them again for sure.
Though it's advertised as the world's worst coffee, the coffee is actually fantastic. The milk was well textured & the perfect temperature. Really good job from the barista.
