Yummy & loved the atmosphere & overall experiance. Left full & happy for real! I was eveb happy there haha. I recommend if yiu are in the area.
My husband ordered a breakfast dish & it was good. I ordered more of a lunch dish & the presentation as well as the food itself was very poor. I couldn't eat it. I ordered a second sandwich choice & it tasted good but was very scarce & extremely overpriced. One of our drinks never came. Also when I spoke to the waitress she was argumentative so I stopped sharing my feedback. Very disappointed with this experience in such a lovely atmosphere.
We came across this cafe & thought we'd check it out while visiting Montreal. Great service & a good breakfast/lunch spot with a variety of options. Nice ambience/decor. Thank you.
Very disappointed.
My daughter & I came for breakfast hoping to enjoy a special morning together. The service was poor from start to finish, the food was average, & the experience did not justify the price.
Management contacted me after my initial review & asked that I remove it. While I appreciate that they reached out, I was very disappointed with the resolution offered, as it did not address the actual issue or the experience my daughter & I had. I removed my original review in good faith, but after reflecting on the response I received, I felt it was important to share my honest experience.
I will not be returning.
Tried it twice, once for breakfast, once for lunch. Atmosphere is gorgeous, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. The hummus was really good, fried chicken was not something I'd want to eat again, the sangria has no real taste, the spinach artichoke dip is the worst I've ever had, smoked salmon avo toast was good. Breakfast is better, but portion sizes are small & it is overpriced. My dining companions all felt the same way.
Came here for breakfast, place is wonderful & service is great. Food is so-so, paying slightly higher then the regular breakfast places. Ordered the smoked salmon avo-toast, which was light on the salmon & missing dill. Also had the florentine eggs, the potatoes were great but they skimmed on the cheese & flavors.
Decided to check out the Pigeon Café with my 6 year old daughter. We both ordered a breakfast sandwich. I specified that we didn't want spicy ingredients in my daughter's.
Well, my sandwich was quite tasty but my daughter couldn't eat hers because they put the spicy mayo in anyways. I will say that she did enjoy the waffle fries that came with it. I brought this up with the staff. We declined to have it remade, as it was a bit late & we moved onto dessert, it was the brownie & it was good.
The management offered to take 25% off the cost of my daughter's sandwich, because she didn't eat it.This did take me a bit aback, that they wanted to charge us 75% of that meal for just the fries, especially given that it was their error & so forth. I told them flatly that I would not be paying for their mistake, which the waitress, to her credit instantly accepted.
I don't blame the waitress in this case. Accidents happen. But the management handling of that mistake was poor & kinda spoiled the likelihood that I would return.
If the management reads these reviews, I hope you will consider a different approach in the future. Also, the men's bathroom stall door hinges are badly in need of some oil.
First time for breakfast. Food was great. Portions for breakfast were great. Service was great. The only miss I could see is virtually zero vegan options.
Today was a busy day at Pigeon Club Cafe. They were accommodating multiple group gatherings, but they still managed to make it a pleasant experience for my family & I. I recommend the shakshouka with halloumi & labneh (although ordering an extra side of breakfast potatoes is recommended since thw bread served with it will go fast!)
