Review Summary

Reviews paint Pigeon Club Cafe as a bright, roomy brunch spot with a wide, often well executed menu and pleasant coffee; dishes like shakshuka, avocado toast, and waffle fries are frequently praised, and dessert items such as chocolate babka and apple turnover attract attention. The atmosphere is repeatedly described as welcoming and stylish, with standout decor that makes the space feel open and comfortable for groups or events. Service quality varies by visit, ranging from friendly, attentive and efficient to slow or inconsistent during busy periods, with noise and crowds often cited as a challenge on weekends. Overall, it is regarded as a dependable destination for brunch, casual meals, and gatherings, offering good food and a memorable setting, though expectations for pace and value can differ.

I can't say enough about this restaurant! We had a baby shower at the Pigeon Club Cafe last Sunday. The hall downstairs was the perfect venue for our brunch! Our server Gabriel was amazing & extremely attentive. The food was excellent! Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffle fries, smoked salmon, pancakes, yogourt parfaits & a fruit platter! Coffee, cappuccinos, lattes & of course no shortage of Mimosas! Thank you Lindsay & the Pigeon Cafe for making this a huge success 💕

Lovely discovery-this restaurant is simply outstanding! From the decor, to the welcome, to the customer service, & what can I say about the taste of the food… Yes, the service was a bit slow, but that just speaks to how popular the place is. Nothing more to add except: you have to try it! & for us… see you next time! Sooo yummy.

We had: the berry pancakes, the avocado & salmon toast, & two eggs with bacon & extra avocado 😋😋😋

The experience was somewhat disappointing. We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning & service left a lot to be desired. Coffee & water were not refilled very frequently. If it would've been busy, it would've been somewhat understandable, but staff were standing around in groups congregating instead of serving customers. We were sitting on the main floor & they use the space between two tables as a corridor, we were at one of those tables despite reserving in advance & the place not being busy. It was annoying. We were also near what looks like a bar area & had our conversations interrupted by blenders that sounded like they were breaking ice. I found the pricing was similar to breakfast restaurants, however, portions were much smaller. Roughly $18 for two smallish pancakes. One Mediterranean toast with one egg roughly the same price. My 76-year-old tiny mother-in-law with a small appetite wanted to go eat after eating her breakfast, as did my wife.

Overall, not the kind of experience I was looking for, nor will I return for.

Amazing restaurant for brunch!! I came here on a saturday, & thank goodness i made a reservation because the restaurant was packed!!! They have so many options on the menu & everything sounds so good, it took me about 20 minutes to decide what i wanted.
I took the Shoey's Breakfast Bagel with a side salad & it absolutely did not disappoint!! The bagel was delicious, & so were the eggs, the bacon, etc. The salad was also veryyyy good; the dressing in the garden salad is amazing.
The service is great, waitress was very attentive & even though the resto was busy, she came to check up on us countless times. Water was refilled often which is also amazing!
In terms of the decor, the resto itself is absolutely stunning! The place is so well decorated, i love love love it.
It was my first time eating at a pigeon cafe & i loved my experience. I will 100% be back!!

Beautiful café with polite staff & a nice atmosphere. But!!!!the food was very disappointing!!! We had already eaten breakfast at the airport & just wanted to share two shakshukas between four people. The shakshuka came in a large pan filled mostly with tomato sauce & barely any eggs - really not good. Also, the staff kept coming every couple of minutes to check if we were done, which made the experience feel rushed & uncomfortable!

Very good food. Request for gluten free & explain to the waiter properly as some do know the risks & other are less knowledgeable. I got the steak & eggs with a side of potatoes, overall very good! GF rating 6.5/10

Visited this establishment for only the second time today with two friends, over lunch. I ordered Shashouka. The dish was so salty I couldn't eat it. I tried to use the brioche bun provided to eat at least the egg, & the halloumi( which is expected to be salty). The tomatoes tasted as if the it had been salted three times. Our waitress never came to ask how things were after I started to eat. Our water bottle was also not replaced when empty. After about 40 minutes she came back & my friend pointed to my 80%still-full plate & explained that I couldn't eat it. The bills arrived with no apology from waitress, no attempt at restitution on the bill, nothing. Other things worth noting: all servers reached across our table to put down our plates & coffees. No'excuse my reach', no coming to the right side of the table. I guess it's hard to train staff basic manners. Last time for me at Pigeon Café. So many other places to give leave my retirement dollars! ☹?

Great breakfast. Eggs were perfect. Waffle fries crispy outside, tender inside. Ordered extra toast, & avocado. Fresh squeeze OJ isnt in the pic.

I came looking to buy a pigeon. Ended up buying brunch instead.

Pigeon Cafe is a hidden gem in the West Island with its unassuming exterior but stunningly beautiful interior decor.

Everything that we purchased was excellent with the exception of the Brown Butter Eggs Benedict. Firstly, as seen in the photo, the meal didn't come with bread & the waiter had to bring us bread on the side. Secondly, the eggs were very watery & upon popping both eggs, the plate was flooded with the water that the eggs were boiled in which made for a very watery & bland dish. This happened with both eggs & unfortunately this ruined the Eggs Benedict dish for us.

The other three dishes that we had were delicious & I would order them again for sure.

Though it's advertised as the world's worst coffee, the coffee is actually fantastic. The milk was well textured & the perfect temperature. Really good job from the barista.

Weekends still seem to be a work in progress for the kitchen - service is attentive, kind & run off their feet (it's a popular spot)….it wasn't good this time - eggs Benedict served with a tiny barely noticeable spot of hollandaise on mounds of wet spinach on soggy English muffin, alongside cold frozen from the freezer style fries……they can do better & do often at other locations - this one had a bad day & needs some help in execution…..

How disappointing! Took friends for lunch today. They were immediately impressed with the atmosphere. The waitress served us in good time & was pleasant. Drinks came quickly. BUT….it took over an hour to get our meal. We were told that they were short in the kitchen…not our problem. Cold eggs & leftover potatoes. The salad was literally a tablespoon. The toast had a hole so large that it was only crust. Really….

Incredible decor, & vibe, staff is friendly & helpful! Food is pretty good, I wish the salmon on my salmon eggs Benedict was a little less cold when served, but that is my only negative point & barely effected my enjoyment of the delicious meal!

We had an amazing brunch at Pigeon Club Café, & I have to say, the 4.0 rating doesn't do it justice-this place is a solid 5.0! Lindsay, our server, was exceptional: warm, kind, & highly professional. The plates were fresh, healthy, & absolutely delicious. From the perfectly cooked eggs & potatoes to the outstanding freshly squeezed orange juice & coffee, everything was impeccable. The ambiance is stunning-a real breath of fresh air. Highly recommended!

Such a lovely surprise walking in, little oasis that goes on forever. Lots of families & birthdays happening on Sunday which made the service pretty slow. Everyone's eggs were overcooked but the menu options / ingredients were fun. I would definitely go back, it has potential

We frequently eat breakfast out & are always looking for a new spot to try. We finally got around to trying Pigeon Club & were very disappointed. The normal courtesies of a breakfast place were simply not observed. Toast was served but unlike every other breakfest restaurant we have tried no jam or peanut butter was offered on the table. I ordered eggs/bacon with no potatoes &, again other places will ask if one would like some tomato or fruit instead, here nothing. Our other order was pancakes, but other than the syrup that had already been put on in limited amounts, no additional syrup was offered. The bacon was overdone. A big surprise was the coffee which in other breakfast restaurants is included in the price, ie two eggs, bacon or sausage , potatoes & coffee. The coffee here is extra , $3.75 each. In total one order of two eggs & bacon, one order of blueberry pancakes & two coffee tax & tip =$56.17

I held our daughters Bridal Shower today at Pigeon Club Café West Island in their private room, I have to tell you it was AMAZING!!! From day one when I emailed to ask question I was answered by Sean the owner, very nice offered for me to come & visit etc... Make a long story short, he was always available to answer my questions, requests... Whatever I wanted & requested was met. He even let me come & set up the day before , that was a life saver. Today the event went beautifully, the staff I had were hands on & so nice, the food was plentiful & delicious. It was a Brunch, we had eggs, pancakes, salads, party sandwiches....all delicious. Thank you again to all, I would highly recommend your place for small or big event. We were 55 & it was very comfortable.

I had mixed experiences. I went on Mother's Day & it was fantastic! What an ambiance & all of our food was so fresh & delicious. I had the shakshouka & yellow smoothie. I raved to everyone I knew. We went back for Fathers Day & it was not at all as I expected. Our latte's were room temperature & in my opinion nothing special. Our pancakes were only 2( I thought we would be getting 3) & they were soaked in syrup when we got them, I mean soaked! I was u see the impression we could pour the amount we wanted. The merguez sausage was dry & tasted like cheap quality meat, I was embarrassed because I praised my halloumi shakshouka we previously ordered & this was 😕.. not so good. The poached eggs in them were way over cooked. Also the challah bread got dry & cold before we even got to the dish & I ordered double bread. My shooey bagel was like overcooked dry egg( no yolk whatsoever) when I ordered poached . ( 😒 annoyed) & the bacon was chewy & fatty, almost microwave tasting. The first time we tried bacon is was great ( I think my mother told them extra crispy). The bagel & sour dough was very hard & dry. I hate to be so negative when I was so proud of it on Mother's Day, but I was actually embarrassed when I brought my family there this time. But.. breakfast potatoes were consistent & delicious! Oh & my yellow smoothie this time ( again I originally bragged about it) was almost a juice that ONLY tasted like orange. I didn't taste any ginger or turmeric. ( I feel like they screwed up & gave me fresh squeezed orange juice) but it almost had a commercial OASIS O.J taste 😐 This was at the West Island Location
