Pigeon Café West Island is one of those places that I think works much better as a brunch/lunch restaurant than as an actual café.
First, the décor is really cute. Definitely a fun, pretty place to meet someone. The service was also REALLY fast - maybe even a little too fast. 😂
I ordered the avocado toast. It was good, but there was way too much kale for me & definitely not enough caramelized nuts. The halloumi was good though & helped save the plate.
The menu itself is actually perfect for the'café' part of the name, which is why I went around 11:30 thinking I would sit down, read my book, do a little studying & enjoy a coffee.
Well… absolutely not. 😂
OMG, I could barely hear myself think. It was SO loud & busy. Definitely not the kind of café where I would bring my Kobo or laptop & expect to sit peacefully for a while.
So basically:

As a café to read, study or work: ⭐?⭐?
I would go back for lunch with someone, but definitely not for a quiet café day.

came here today as i thought the place looked cool on google.

here's my honest take. the place looks amazing with its deco. i really liked it, so for me that's a plus.

service was okay, better than what i've read on the reviews.

the seating (at least where we were seated) felt small & very close to the other seats & table behind us. then a group of maybe 8-9 came & they (the group & the staff as well) were having difficulties to fit them as they were so close to us. we really thought the place was cramped even though the place is huge & that there are other tables available.

i'd recommend that they shouldn't try hard to squeeze as much seats & tables. this beats the purpose of the great ambiance they have. ah well.

the place gets noisy as we were placed where the crowd passes as well as the staff. there were other tables available, but we were given the tiny one, but that's fine. the real issue was the people from the other table always had to walk around us because the seats are super close & no space to walk for everyone.

food was good, but nothing out of this world. to be fair, we did like the food.

if i'll go back? i'm not quite sure at this point. maybe not… let's see other places & see how they fare.

We had a great experience at Pigeon Club Cafe! Our server Jessica was absolutely lovely - very kind, friendly, attentive, & professional. She made us feel very welcome & took great care of us throughout our visit. Great service & a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

Such a beautiful pigeon cafe! Wow! Staff was friendly, but a tad forgetful.
Food was great. The only I would suggest is to warn people that the pasta that comes with the chicken Parm is spucy. I'm very sensitive to so ce & couldn't eat more than 3 bites. The coffee drinks were delicious, though. Great place for brunch or casual meet. Instagram worthy for people looking for good photo ops!
