Terrific atmosphere, but unfortunately they're playing awful top-40s corporate Muzak, which makes it feel like you're dining in a plasticky, soulless, corporate establishment. Oh well.

Very underwhelming experience. I love the coffee at Pigeon Café on De Maisonneuve, so I came here for brunch.
I ordered an Americano but was served filter coffee with grounds floating in the mug. It was messy, with drips all around the outside like it hadn't been wiped. My partner's mug was cracked along the side.
Our order was taken by one person & brought by another, who spilled coffee on the table, no one came to clean it, & we weren't even offered napkins.
I ordered the classic Shakshuka, which came with a hair in it. They brought another one, but it tasted off & I'm not convinced it was a fresh plate.
Staff were refilling coffee at other tables, but I never got the cream I had requested twice for the refill of my second coffee.
My partner still left a good tip despite everything.
When she mentioned thr hair to the staff, the apology felt more like a brush-off than genuine concern. They clearly saw I didn't eat the meal.
Poor service, disappointing food. There are definitely better places to spend your money.View more

I ordered one cup of latte & one brownie, took over 25 minutes to deliver. I arrived around 3:50 pm Monday only fewer people. It seemed only one waiter & one person inside the bar. The coffee is normal taste also the brownie. Not recommended.View more

Coffee is good but this location is not it.... service was not good. The waitress never came to see us after we receved the food & she barely smilled. I ordered the two eggs plate & asked for sunny side up (did not get sunny side up) mistakes happen no big deel but couldnt find our waitress so asked someone else to exchange my eggs. Its not the first time i eat at Pigeon Café but selling 2 eggs plate with half an avocado, 1 tiny toast & a mini side of cucumber salad (which was hot...) for 15$ is crazy. At the one in Cote Vertu area, plate was full & had enough for my money (served with patatos, bread, eggs & had a choice of meat + waitress gave us peanut butter/jam). But Mcgill Pigeon is not the place to go... the food is not bad & the ambiance is really nice but they need to review their dishes/plate cause for the price its not generous like others Pigeon Café :/ For just a coffe on the go it okay.View more

The atmosphere is great! Wonderful interior design. Food is average (don't know about desserts & coffee). Servers are nice, but I order cider & they brought me a can of cider & a beer glass. It was weird.View more

The food isn't bad but coffee is really bad. I've been to this cafe 3 times for a takeaway coffee, & I've always been disappointed with the coffee, it isn't the beans, it's the baristas, not trained enough.View more

Always loved pigeon coffee but now that I've tried their food I can say I love everything about pigeon. The halloumi cheese shakshouka is very good very filling, & so is their tomato soup. It's not pictured but I also recommend their steak sandwich (cooked rare is just perfect !) for a light lunch.View more

Service was horrid. Over 2 hours to go in & get a coffee & a dessert. We sat for 1-1/2 hrs & apparently our server finished his shift & didn't tell anyone. Two desserts came finally & the 3rd took another 1/2 hr to show up. Then the bill came for $110!!! They made a boo-boo. The desserts were just ok. Not impressed at all.View more

The food is pretty good, I had the French toast casserole with ice cream & it was like a 7/10 only cause the melted ice cream ruins the whole dish afterwards... I loved the coffee, pastries & the ambience there. The staff tho is amazing always 10/10 service 🤩🤩View more

I was impressed with the quality of service I found myself immersed in while having a coffee break. The staff especially Fox guided me through the restaurant checking in to make sure I was pleased with my food. It is usually hard to receive service in English while dining in Montreal however I did not run into this issue here. I would go again when I have availability :)View more

There was a delay in the kitchen today so we had to wait 20-30 minutes after ordering (i didn't mind), the server was nice & efficient when we had to order, what i did notice was that the food was not hot, it was almost a bit cold. my friends ordered the chicken sandwich & the chicken was kinda cold sadly. i ordered breakfast sandwich & it was mostly just avocado & spicy mayo, almost no egg so i wished they would've put more eggs. Coffee was ok. best part of the restaurant is the decoration.View more

I had a delightful experience at Pigeon Coffee & would easily give it five stars. I enjoyed a cappuccino & a lox bagel, both of which were excellent. The bagel was particularly impressive; for $16.50, it came generously topped with a good amount of lox, making it a great value for the price. The cappuccino was rich & well-made, complementing the bagel perfectly. Despite being quite busy, the café has a charming atmosphere that makes it a pleasant place to relax. The service was a bit slow due to the crowd, but the overall experience was worth it. I'd definitely recommend Pigeon Coffee for a cozy & satisfying café visit!View more

I really LOVE the coffee here. The caramel latte is outstanding! & this place is also offering pretty nice breakfast options I have never had something bad here. The ambience here has something relaxing, nothing feels hectic, yet the service is quick & very good They have perfect coffee, perfect food & perfect service. The food & the coffee were good, but the service wasn't. The girl waitress never gave us a smile, even if my friends & I smiled at her; we had to call her after to take our order, to give us some coffees that were missing, utensils, & to give our bill, always with a grimace, only when she gave us the bill she tried to give us a smile only to receive a good tip. & it wasn't so busy, on the terrace there were only 4 more tables & there were 3 waiters serving, sometimes another guy served us, who was kind to us, not like the girl.View more
