Nice Vietnamese restaurant at Phillips Square in Montreal. Had a 7 hour stopover & took the bus to the center for nice lunch & I was not disappointed. Took waiters to recognize me (I sneaked to the outdoor patio), but then they were really fast & attentive. Food came fast, had summer rolls & vermicelli, both great as well as the Vietnamese coffee afterwards.View more
A decent place for their appetizers, however the pho could've been better. In all honesty, I find it pretty tricky to find a great pho spot in Montreal (compared to Toronto) - so if I were to compare them to the rest of the city, they are good. The fresh spring rolls & bbq apps are great - worth it. The pho, nothing to die for, the broth could use more flavour. If you're in the area & craving some Pho, not a bad place.View more
Ordered the vegan pho along with chicken fried rice & spring rolls. While the spring rolls & fried rice tasted good, the vegan pho could have been more flavoured. It was simple with not much seasoning. It was a winter evening so anything hot tasted great but there could have been more spicy / tangy flavours added. Maybe do a simple pho & one spicier version. Great ambience though & very close to grand central so we legit walked in -15 degrees. Love that cherry blossom tree!View more
Went here on our last night in Montreal & one of best meals we had. Food was very fresh. Had both types of rolls for apps, the jasmine rice with steak & a pho bowl (broth on side) devoured it all. Also had the hot coffee & we're hooked. So tasty. If I lived here, I'd be a regular. Service a bit slow but they were very friendly & we kinda wanted to relax. Atmosphere of the restaurant was super cozy too & clean.View more
my pork rice paper roll was tiny compared to pictures on here. they also switched my order with prawns without telling me. they were nice enough about switching the incorrect order but they should just not serve the item if they dont have pork available. owner also stared at me the entire time i was getting my order switched. weird it wasn't available as well as i ordered pretty early in the day (3pm). my banh mi broth was too salty & oily as well. very average Vietnamese food.View more
We just had their pho & it was really good the broth was clear but flavorful & the beef was tender the noodles were cooked well & the fresh herbs added a nice touch we also had their fresh spring rolls which were light & tasty we tried the mango smoothie (100% you must try) & you can actually taste the real mango it wasn't too sweet just refreshing overall a solid meal & we'd come back againView more
Wonderful Vietnamese in the heart of Montreal serving authentic & considered Vietnamese food like rolls, Bamh Mi, Pho, & incredible Vietnamese ice coffee. Highly recommended, & the service is wonderful from a caring team. Reminds me of their sister shop front in Hanoi. Bravo!View more
It was literally the best Vietnamese food EVER!!! Soooo good! Especially the egg roll & the Pho. Very nice & clean. Also the staffs were really kind & nice to us.View more
Ordered bun bo, it was not flavorful, despite having quite a bit of meat (mix of pork & beef). Service was very good. Spring rolls were good as well.View more
Atmosphere & service were great. Pho had a slightly gamey aroma, salad roll relied too much on the sauce. The menu is conservative compared to other Vietnamese places. I will try more items & update my review. Staff were fantastic.View more
The food is so good especially the pho & the spring rolls & the portions are generous. The staff is so nice!!View more
Great atmosphere & services however the food is disappointing. The pho lacked of original taste, the imperial roll is good but should be served with sauce nuoc mam instead of sugary sauce. Attention to detail is important.View more
The food was average at best, large portions but the quality was average. The Pho was huge but lacked flavor & the chicken cuts weren't the best, chewy. The tofu wasn't great either & again lacked flavor. The spring rolls were decent & had some flavor. The service was great & the ambience was fantastic.View more
Honestly the best pho i've ever had & one of the best meals I've ever had. The broth was so delicious & the veggies were fresh & crunchy which I love. Me & my friend have tried the following: Vegetarian imperial rolls (please note it comes with 2, not 3 like said in the description): absolutely delicious fresh, comes with a delicious sauce Vegetarian Pho: my friend said it was delicious! She loved the fried tofu. Well done beef Pho: broth was crazy good, the beef was delicious & tender (but the meat was very fatty, which might be the norm for this dish but i personally don't like fatty meat) Grilled chicken Pho: same delicious broth, the chicken was amazing & the veggies were fresh. This dish was so amazing & I will be coming back many times for it! The only downside was the service. We were only about 4 people in the restaurant & yet the waiter took forever to get us the bill & never came to check up on us. It could've been better but the food it so worth it that it doesn't matter. The food came out quick aswell! All in all, I will be returning very often - this might be one of my favourite restaurants!!!View more
Had the rice with grilled chicken + shrimp & pork rolls. Absolutely fantastic, great portions & the taste was superb. Service was friendly & kind. Place was very well kept. 💯 Recommend.View more
You are paying more for the decor & ambiance here than the quality in their dishes.
The "Build your own Pho" is a gimmick. Nothing different than ordering a specific bowl option from any other Pho resto. There are only 3 meat options which you can only choose 1 type, 1 size bowl, & the "special" is just your choice of any of the 3 meats.
The meat quality was great & fresh.
I wished they mentioned which kind of sauce was to accompany the spring rolls. Had fish sauce instead of the usual peanut sauce. (Which was received a few minutes after the bowl of Pho instead of before; supposed to be an entree)View more
This place is spacious with beautiful decoration. The food is very good, & according to my son, their Pho is very authentic. Their Ha Noi Cuon (Spring roll) is excellent. Their location is very attractive as it’s at the heart of downtown. Their banh mi is delicious.View more
