A decent place for their appetizers, however the pho could've been better. In all honesty, I find it pretty tricky to find a great pho spot in Montreal (compared to Toronto) - so if I were to compare them to the rest of the city, they are good. The fresh spring rolls & bbq apps are great - worth it. The pho, nothing to die for, the broth could use more flavour. If you're in the area & craving some Pho, not a bad place.View more
Loveeeeeeee it!! Delicious pho with rich broth & fresh toppings. Authentic taste & great service. Highly recommend!View more
Not the best Pho I had. It was good the few times I visitted & not yesterday. The broth felt very blah to me. The after taste of ginger in the broth is not good either.
One thing I start noticing: they are getting very cheap with basil. One small piece of basil for the bowl of Pho is not cutting it. Be generous on Basil please. A good bowl of pho must come with enough ingredients & basil is a part of it.View more
My go-to for Vietnamese food & I always get the chicken vermicelli with a side of pho broth to sip!View more
Super tasty bowl of pho. The brisket is very tender, the broth is deep & flavourful & the portions are very generous!View more
We arrived with high expectations given other reviews but left disappointed. There was almost nothing on the menu that did not contain meat. The server, who tried to be accommodating, said the kitchen would prepare a vegetarian meal but it ended up being based on chicken broth. It was tasteless, watery pho so it didn't really matter. I'm very surprised that this place has the rating it does -- what a disappointment.View more
Went here on our last night in Montreal & one of best meals we had. Food was very fresh. Had both types of rolls for apps, the jasmine rice with steak & a pho bowl (broth on side) devoured it all. Also had the hot coffee & we're hooked. So tasty. If I lived here, I'd be a regular. Service a bit slow but they were very friendly & we kinda wanted to relax. Atmosphere of the restaurant was super cozy too & clean.View more
I ordered a Bun Bo Hue & A Pho BYOB & a viet coffee & its tasted amazing , The broth was clean & yummy. But somethings drive me to give a review on Google is The waiter was really nice when I ordered a coffee he lemme try it first to adjust the coffee for me which is super nice & enthusiasm. Highly recommendedView more
Definitely not authentic Pho & overpriced for the quality. I ordered a grilled chicken Pho soup & was greatly disappointed. The noodles were really overcooked. By the end of my meal they were too soggy to eat. The grilled chicken was fine & the broth lacked flavour. I won't be returning :(View more
Love the vibe of the restaurant but personally think the pho broth is too salty for my likingView more
To preface this review, I went at a non-busy time in a group of 2. We had many issues with the service & food: 1. Ordered a rare beef pho & a rare beef & well done beef pho. Received a well done beef pho & a rare beef & well done beef pho. 2. They served the pho lukewarm! The rare meat didn't cook in the slightest!!!!!!! After asking to reheat the pho, they returned it THE SAME TEMPERATURE. 3. I requested fresh chilis from the staff 3 times throughout the meal & never received any. 4. Very minimal sauce included. They give tiny portions of sriracha/hoisin so you have to keep asking. It would be way better to have the bottles at the table like other authentic Vietnamese establishments. 5. Personal opinion - the pho broth was too sweet, missing some acidity. 6. Don't sit anywhere near the door in cold weather, they leave the outer door open sometimes so when the inner door is opened you'll be frozen. On the bright side, they have friendly staff & a great atmosphere (upstairs is super cool too).View more
my pork rice paper roll was tiny compared to pictures on here. they also switched my order with prawns without telling me. they were nice enough about switching the incorrect order but they should just not serve the item if they dont have pork available. owner also stared at me the entire time i was getting my order switched. weird it wasn't available as well as i ordered pretty early in the day (3pm). my banh mi broth was too salty & oily as well. very average Vietnamese food.View more
We just had their pho & it was really good the broth was clear but flavorful & the beef was tender the noodles were cooked well & the fresh herbs added a nice touch we also had their fresh spring rolls which were light & tasty we tried the mango smoothie (100% you must try) & you can actually taste the real mango it wasn't too sweet just refreshing overall a solid meal & we'd come back againView more
Phở Lý Quốc Sư offers authentic Vietnamese flavors with standout phở & bánh mì. The phở features a rich, aromatic broth simmered for hours, with tender beef & fresh, springy noodles. A side of herbs, lime, & chili adds brightness & spice. The bánh mì is equally impressive, with a crispy, yet soft baguette filled with well-seasoned meats, pickled vegetables, fresh cilantro, & a hint of pâté & mayo for extra richness. Both dishes reflect traditional flavors & high-quality ingredients, making Phở Lý Quốc Sư a must-visit for Vietnamese food enthusiasts.View more
I had low expectations coming in. Fewer options than a classic Vietnamese pho resto. Iced espresso was served blended instead of separate condensed milk & espresso. Small amount of fresh basil & sprouts with pho. However the broth was fairly fragrant & was served hot.View more
We ordered the special pho & the hu tieu kho with everything. I am very picky about Pho. This one has the same taste as the ones I ate in Hanoi. Real northern taste. The broth was flavourful & there was lots of meat. My partner ordered the hu tieu kho. It tastes good. This is a great find. We'll come back for the pho again. The owner told me we could order Quay (fried dough stick) - not on the menu to eat with pho next time. I wish I had known it sooner as it would add to the pho. Eating like people in Hanoi.View more
It's ok pho. Broth was OK. It didn't have that Kapow that hooks you. Noodles were the flat wide ones... Not my particular favorite. Rare beef pho was $18. There was no choice of sizes & I thought it was on the medium to small size where the price would've normally warranted, a gigantic bowl. All in all, not bad, but not a knockout. Staff were nice, food came quick, interior was quite nice.View more
The pho's broth is definitely different! Service is prompt & are generous with red cut chilli & siracha sauce. Indoor is instaworthy & outdoor is just right opposite the park!View more
Unfortunately the broth is very weak for the vegetable pho. Which is the main ingredient that's really important. Sorry guys.View more
Everything was great! From service to food to the decorations. We were so happy to have a noodles that isnt so so heavy in msg or sweet & salty. The Bun bo hue was spicy & so delicious!! Special pho had great broth. Both had so much meat in them🩷 & lots of basils, green onions, cilantro added a lot to the flavour👍🏼View more
This place is conveniently located & ambience is charming. We had veggies pho & chicken pho. The broth was good & went well with the well-cooked chicken. The attentive & friendly staff made the dining experience pleasant. Overall, a great spot for good Vietnamese food with excellent service.View more
Most bland pho I've ever had. The broth had no food flavor.View more
Honestly the best pho i've ever had & one of the best meals I've ever had. The broth was so delicious & the veggies were fresh & crunchy which I love. Me & my friend have tried the following: Vegetarian imperial rolls (please note it comes with 2, not 3 like said in the description): absolutely delicious fresh, comes with a delicious sauce Vegetarian Pho: my friend said it was delicious! She loved the fried tofu. Well done beef Pho: broth was crazy good, the beef was delicious & tender (but the meat was very fatty, which might be the norm for this dish but i personally don't like fatty meat) Grilled chicken Pho: same delicious broth, the chicken was amazing & the veggies were fresh. This dish was so amazing & I will be coming back many times for it! The only downside was the service. We were only about 4 people in the restaurant & yet the waiter took forever to get us the bill & never came to check up on us. It could've been better but the food it so worth it that it doesn't matter. The food came out quick aswell! All in all, I will be returning very often - this might be one of my favourite restaurants!!!View more
Nice well decorated atmosphere. Very friendly & responsive staff quick service & good food. Most Vietnamese food is similar from one place to another so usually the only thing you can look for is defects & there weren’t any here. The broth on the pho was great & the portions were huge. If you’re ordering pho you might want to consider splitting it between two people. We liked it so much. We brought our daughter & came a second night. The crème brûlée was good for dessert.View more
Great spot for pho & other Vietnamese dishes! The pho has a very clean & clear broth, & everything served tastes very fresh.View more
It’s a bit expensive for pho but located in downtown after all. I was searching for a Vietnamese restaurant that was near my office & I am glad I found this place :) the broth is fresh, not too salty but still rich. My feedback though is that i would prefer (this is my preference) for the meat to be more thinly sliced. iced coffee (cà phê s?a ?á) is also a must!View more
