Délicieux! J'ai commandé à emporter le midi Pho (boeuf saignant). La dame à la caisse a été très polie & aidante! J'ai passé vers 12:20 pm à ce jour. Elle m'a donné en verre, le dessert surprise! Très bon! Merci! À la prochaine!View more
Glad to find a decent Vietnamese restaurant downtown. My pho with rare beef was served with cooked beef. I wonder if there was a lack of synchronization between front & back of house. If it sits too long in the pass, the the thinly sliced beef cooks. The service was ok , but definitely needs work. As a lone diner, I do not need 2 waiters watching me eat, whether they were looking at me or behind me, they needed to be more discreet. & where were they when I was trying to get my bill to pay & leave? I am of average height, the booth side of the table is too high so one has to bend a little too much over to eat. The other diners around me were in the same predicament. The spa-like covers of popular songs was a bit loud with only 6 people in the restaurant & also set a weird atmosphere: is it a spa or a vibrant new restaurant? Also, English-speaking staff only? That's why I'm writing my review in English to make sure my review is understood. With these small adjustments, things should pick up.View more
I can't afford the best car, the best house, but I can still eat the best Vietnamese pho Soup is tasty with a lot of noodles, but it is not recommended to order beef stew pho, soup made with carrots, taste a bit over sweet.View more
Very lovely location. Service was great & food was pho real 😏 definitely will come againView more
Love this place. Fresh approach to Pho. Met the owner, very friendly. Great atmosphere, love the food, if you love Pho, you need to eat here!View more
Pho was very bland & boring, but service & atmosphere were great!View more
Great atmosphere & services however the food is disappointing. The pho lacked of original taste, the imperial roll is good but should be served with sauce nuoc mam instead of sugary sauce. Attention to detail is important.View more
The food was average at best, large portions but the quality was average. The Pho was huge but lacked flavor & the chicken cuts weren't the best, chewy. The tofu wasn't great either & again lacked flavor. The spring rolls were decent & had some flavor. The service was great & the ambience was fantastic.View more
I came this week on a thursday & i had the best vietnamese food . I took well done pho & it was amazing. Also the server was nice & clean ( btw i like her braid) also she was very quick & she gave us all what we need , she made sure for me to have halal option. 11/10 . The vibes are so cozy. I will definitely come again & again.View more
Most bland pho I've ever had. The broth had no food flavor.View more
Honestly the best pho i've ever had & one of the best meals I've ever had. The broth was so delicious & the veggies were fresh & crunchy which I love. Me & my friend have tried the following: Vegetarian imperial rolls (please note it comes with 2, not 3 like said in the description): absolutely delicious fresh, comes with a delicious sauce Vegetarian Pho: my friend said it was delicious! She loved the fried tofu. Well done beef Pho: broth was crazy good, the beef was delicious & tender (but the meat was very fatty, which might be the norm for this dish but i personally don't like fatty meat) Grilled chicken Pho: same delicious broth, the chicken was amazing & the veggies were fresh. This dish was so amazing & I will be coming back many times for it! The only downside was the service. We were only about 4 people in the restaurant & yet the waiter took forever to get us the bill & never came to check up on us. It could've been better but the food it so worth it that it doesn't matter. The food came out quick aswell! All in all, I will be returning very often - this might be one of my favourite restaurants!!!View more
It was Santa Claus parade on Saturday & the streets were packed with people everywhere in downtown Montreal. Pho Ly Quac Su just opened its doors just after noon time & we were the first few that got in. Already all the seats on the ground floor were taken. Luckily, there were lots of empty seating places on the first floor. The restaurant is reasonably clean & tidy. We ordered a BYOP - Build your own pho with rare beef & BYOV - Build your own vermicelli with grilled shrimps. Service was friendly & fast with the dishes of good size portion. Taste of the pho was at par with other pho restaurants we have been. It could have been hotter. The vermicelli came on a bed of iceberg lettuce & all fresh. The shrimps were grilled to perfection with a nice smoked flavour. Prices are reasonable, portions are good & taste is excellent.View more
An excellent Vietnamese restaurant situated downtown serving authentic pho & other dishes to warm up particularly in the winter. I also have to specially commend the restaurant for having exceptionally helpful & friendly service, as well as a pretty decor. Dishes are served hot & quickly. Pop in if you need to warm up over a bowl of pho!View more
Endroit neuf & propre. Ambiance calme & sympa. Je recommande en somme.View more
The taste is not special compared to the price. The soup is just normal. I ordered rare beef for topping, but it came out cooked. It is said that it is cooked the moment it is served. If you're looking for a delicious pho restaurant, why not look elsewhere? Also, the meat quality was not good.View more
Très bon pho, il manquait juste un peu de viande sinon parfait. Le restaurant est très bien décoré. Le service est impeccable. Je recommande.View more
View more
Best pho in Montreal. Great ambiance & professional staff. Highly recommend!View more
Out of all the pho I’ve eaten so far this is by far the bestView more
This place is amazing!! I would come eat here everyday if I could. The chicken pho was perfect for a chilly day especially hungover. We had the best customer service & food came out so fast. This was the best customer service I’ve ever received. I highly recommended going here.View more
This was my first time trying pho. The servers were SO nice. The place was very clean & an amazing atmosphere. The employees made me feel at home.View more
Cool atmosphere & friendly staff, but most importantly great vegetarian pho just the right amount of everything!View more
The service was good & the atmosphere of the place was pleasant.
We ordered a bun bo hue & a pho. The soups lacked flavor & authenticity. The meat was good but the pieces were small.
If you ask me, it wasn't worth the price since there are better Vietnamese alternatives in Montreal.View more
I have tried really hard to find a place where I can have Vietnamese food with original Vietnamese flavors, & eventually I found one which match my difficult demands. We ordered all the significant dishes like Bun Bo Hue, Pho & Com Tam, they all have amazing tastes. The owner of Ly Quoc Su Restaurant is super friendly & hospitable. Staffs are also very friendly & well taken care of customer’s need. Someone said the price is high but to me for this service & food quality, the price’s itself worth everything. Highly recommended when you travel to Montreal.View more
Nice well decorated atmosphere. Very friendly & responsive staff quick service & good food. Most Vietnamese food is similar from one place to another so usually the only thing you can look for is defects & there weren’t any here. The broth on the pho was great & the portions were huge. If you’re ordering pho you might want to consider splitting it between two people. We liked it so much. We brought our daughter & came a second night. The crème brûlée was good for dessert.View more
I really enjoyed this Pho. I highly recommend ordering with rare beef. The meat used here is AAA. Was also glad to meet the owner of the place, July. She is very welcoming & friendly. Good luck!View more
Great food. Amazing service! Very authentic & friendly. Felt like I was back in North Viet. Their raw beef Pho was fantastic. Good size.
The owner came to greet us. She was so nice & told us her story. She’s so proud of her restaurant & with good reason.
Come & try it out. Judge for yourself.View more
Today 31 August 2022, at 5:51:23pm , It is my first time to try this new opening Viet restaurant. Food isn’t to bad but isn’t too good either.
I have chosen the special $20 plus tax plus tip 15% Total bill $26.45. For one soupe Tonkinoise.
Pho Nguyen $16 tax included & tips downtown
Pho I am also $16 tax included & tips Downtown
For this moment for the Tonkinoise soupe is too expensive.
The averages soupe price around $16-$20 included tax & tips.
If you are regular clients few restaurants, Not even need to pay tax, if I chose to pay cash.
Probably their rental & location also too high.
That what I guess.
But, wait if this restaurant can stay there for long time.
My question is do you need more clients or put on the higher price bill ?
Which one is/are the owners chooseView more
You are paying more for the decor & ambiance here than the quality in their dishes.
The "Build your own Pho" is a gimmick. Nothing different than ordering a specific bowl option from any other Pho resto. There are only 3 meat options which you can only choose 1 type, 1 size bowl, & the "special" is just your choice of any of the 3 meats.
The meat quality was great & fresh.
I wished they mentioned which kind of sauce was to accompany the spring rolls. Had fish sauce instead of the usual peanut sauce. (Which was received a few minutes after the bowl of Pho instead of before; supposed to be an entree)View more
