The food hasn't changed. It's still delicious, fresh, & really well priced. It may be busy, & you may have to wait in line, but it's always reasuring to eat in a place with constant turnover. If you are in Chinatown in Montreal, you have to eat at the Schwartz's of Pho.View more
This is clearly a'favourite' spot for many Montrealers & the whole restaurant has made fast service of good Vietnamese food a science. Menus are extensively illustrated with numbered item, staff manages to be efficient without being rude, & food is delivered rapidly & not only looks appetizing but tastes good.
Prices are quite decent & while the place can get crowded & noisy, you still get a good table experience.View more
It ain't what it used to be… the quality of the grilled porc was extremely disappointing today!! If you decide to eat here, ('cause it's still a Montreal institution) I suggest you go for the soup with the raw beef & the spring rolls.View more
price to size is ok; broth is so-so, meat portion is good ; Friday they got a special menu, it is not Vietnamese pho;
you have to tips & they write for you, you have no choice, I paid by cash;

So far, the best Vietnamese food I had in Montreal! Their noodle grilled chicken 🍲 soup is 👌 👍. Their grilled beef + chicken +rice is a MUST try 🤪. Give it a try 👌.
Prices are fairly well.
All in all: Quality 👍, price 👍.
This is my spot & will be in my monthly to go list!
Just keep in mind: no credit card, no debit, only Cash!View more
Un petit restaurant sans prétention. Service très rapide, entrées bonnes & pho très bon. Un excellent rapport qualité prix!View more
Delicious Pho & spring rolls. Had a small Pho Tai & it was the perfect size for me. The broth was light but so full of flavor, the sprouts & garnishes were super crisp. The lime was extra juicy. Everything was just so fresh & yummy. Perfect for a rainy day, will definitely be back 👍🏻View more
Stopped by on a road trip to Montreal, felt like a popular spot in Chinatown. The service was friendly enough, I realize they were busy for dinner.
We got the chicken & minced pork vermicelli, chicken tonkinese soup/pho, & vegetable vermicelli. The portions & prices were reasonable. The pho broth was flavourful & rich!
Will definitely be coming back!View more
Genuinely the best pho ive tasted (better than the ones Ive had in LA, NYC, & Chicago). Note that it is cash only!
Would recommend to everyone visiting/living in the area. They give so much food too. I would go there when hungry!View more
Food was okay but the waiter was not doing any customer service & just gave us our food. Our waiter probably didn't give us good service because we had ethnically mixed group.They also demanded a tip on top of the bad service & didn't let us leave until they got the tip. They literally harassed until we gave them a tip. If you see a short Asian guy serving you ask for another waiter. Don't come anywhere near here. It's a scam.View more
The food is the worst tasting. The pho tasted like water. The rice was soggy, nuoc mam was watery.View more
Beat value to quantity to quality. Generous with the protein in the pho.View more
The service was non existent. Food was average but good portions.View more
I love this Pho place. The price is right, the portions are big & the service is one of the fastest in town. The pho is delicious & the spicy weekend special pho is even better. I almost never have to wait for a table. One of the best spots in Chinatown imo. They have been accommodating of my food restrictions, which I appreciate a lot.
Please note they only take cash but they have an ATM next to the area where you go to pay.View more
La nourriture est délicieuse & vraiment pas chère, c'est toujours bondé & il y a une énorme variété de monde, ce qui est bon signe pour un restaurant de ce genre.
Le service était bien, sans plus ni moins.View more
The best PHO / Vietnamese food I've had. The look is very low end with a cafeteria like feel & crammed in tables & there is often a lineup to get it. Service is very fast & quality is great. I have been going here & to their old location that was in a now destroyed building across the street since October 2000 - 25years & it is still the same owner & it's been the same waiters for over 10years!View more
I've been to Pho Bang NY 5 times in total & I'll say this, their Pho is off the charts. It's amazing when it's fresh. It has all the perfect blends of flavors & you get it right quick, which means it's piping hot, just the way I like it!
Now the last 3 times a went I wanted the spicy noodle soup, Bun Bo Hu, something I've always wanted to try. Every time I went, until yesterday, they ran out because it's a weekly special. So you can imagine how excited I was when he said they still had some.
Well let me tell you it was the exact opposite of what I would normally get.
They essentially gave me a HUGE BOWL OF TEPID BATHWATER. It was the most bland beef broth with oxtail & flank steak. There was barely any seasoning & no coriander. But the worst part is it's suppose to be SPICY NOODLE SOUP. There was no chili in it at all.
It virtually tasted like eating warm canned consume. I just can't see myself going back after getting served that. It was like they decided to serve me anything because they just wanted my business that day. Normally I'd consider it a one off thing & talk to the server about it but he just disappeared after serving us.
It's really sad because it was really a nice thing to look forward to every second week. I love Pho & now I have to find a new spot.View more
