Old place ( decoration wise ) with a nice terrace. Food is ordinary, nothing crazy. Decent pricing. Very good service. Verdict : give it a try if not better options around .

We came to Philinos Restaurant for dinner on a Saturday night. It was busy so, we were lucky that we had a reservation. We ordered an assortment of appetizers & main dishes. Overall, the food was very good for an “old school” Greek restaurant. The atmosphere reflects that “classic” era but, it was very lively. The staff was very diligent even though there was a large party taking most of their attention.

Without a doubt, Philinos is the best Greek restaurant in Montreal. My wife who is Greek & a connaiseur of fine Greek food was overwhelmed with the delicious servings. If you are in Montreal this restuarant is not to be missed not only for it's meals but its friendly, courteous & professional service provided by Harry & Alexander. Thank you for a wonderful & memorable experience.

I used to love it here but went back recently & found it lackluster while prices have skyrocketed. Calamari is frozen & ok but not for 19$, the biggest ripoff is the octopus at 35$ for barely one tentacle. It had about 6 pieces of very moist octopus but the price is ludicrous compared to other Greek restaurants of similar caliber. The meat platter was decent but all the meats were under seasoned. Overall, decent food but not worthy of the high mark-up on most of the menu. They are cutting corners & it shows & it's insulting to the customer to be charging these prices as if it were a high end dining experience.

Les grillades étaient bonnes, mais sans plus. Pour le prix que ça coûte, je m'attendais à une assiette avec plus de goût! Le service était bien, le restaurant n'était pas trop rempli alors nous n'avons pas beaucoup attendu pour nos plat, mais franchement le prix n'en valent pas la peine!
