For the main course, I got the shrimp pasta & then for dessert, I got the baklava. Everything was delicious! Also, our waiter was super nice & had a great sense of humor, & I really like the decor of the restaurant as well!View more
We decided to stick to appetizers & share a bunch. WOW! The best Greek salad I've ever had- delicious zucchini chips & excellent Calamari. I can't wait to visit again for the main course! Thank you, Petros!View more
A lot of main dishes are 59$ per person (cheapest is 30). So appetizers plus main plus tax plus tip & you're looking at well over $100 per person. But this is Westmount, so maybe that's normal. for me that's about twice what I'd pay to eat almost everywhere else.View more
The food here was excellent. Many people in our group ordered the lamb chops & they were cooked very well. The fried zucchini & calamari were also very good. My group went to Petros for our team holiday dinner. When we were seated we specifically mentioned to the waiter who showed us our table that everything would be on separate bills. When our waiter came to take our orders, he insisted on bringing platters of appetizers to our table instead of taking everyone's individual order. Luckily, they were dishes that we all liked & wanted. The fried zucchini & calamari were very good, however, when it came time to get the bills he seemed baffled that we all wanted separate bills, & asked us how the appetizers were supposed to work. We all ended up splitting the appetizers, but it was frustrating. Especially considering we specifically said that we wanted separate bills from the start. Our waiter was very good, & when I said I wanted my lamb chops medium rare, he advised that it was better to take them medium, as the kitchen had a tendency to under cook them. & he was absolutely correct. I ordered them medium & they were cooked exactly to my liking. But as nice as our waiter was, I would have appreciated him listening more to our group so we could have avoided the confusion when it came time to pay the bills. I would never want a waiter to become a customer service robot, but he could have listened to our group more, rather than assume what was happening.View more
I love the atmosphere & the decor. This may sound weird, but the plates are some of the prettiest I've ever seen in a resto.
Food wise, I enjoyed the appetizers more than my main course (the steak, which I found a little fatty, tbh). The calamari, the dips, & the meat platters are all worth it.
FYI, the menu is incorrect - the steak does not come with potatoes & veggies as claimed, but rather, it comes with a side of fries.View more
Petros Westmount is undoubtedly a standout dining destination in the heart of Westmount, Montreal. With a warm & inviting atmosphere, this restaurant offers an impressive culinary experience that, in my opinion, deserves a solid four out of five stars.
What sets Petros apart is its commitment to delivering delectable Mediterranean cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a charming ambiance that combines modern elegance with a touch of traditional Greek decor. It's the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a special celebration.
The menu at Petros Westmount is a true culinary delight. With a focus on fresh ingredients & authentic flavors, every dish feels like a journey through the Mediterranean. The selection of appetizers, from crispy calamari to savory spanakopita, is a testament to the chef's dedication to quality.
One of the standout features of Petros is its seafood offerings. The grilled octopus is a must-try, tender & bursting with flavor. The fish options are equally impressive, with choices like the whole sea bass cooked to perfection.
Service at Petros Westmount is friendly & attentive, adding to the overall positive dining experience. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu & wine selection, which enhances the meal even further.
While the overall experience at Petros Westmount is exceptional, there is room for improvement, which is why I rated it four stars instead of five. The pricing can be on the higher side, so it may not be an everyday dining option for everyone. Additionally, the noise level in the restaurant can be quite high during peak hours, making it a bit challenging for intimate conversations.
In conclusion, Petros Westmount is a fantastic choice for Mediterranean cuisine lovers. Its delectable dishes, charming atmosphere, & attentive service make it a dining experience worth savoring. While there are minor drawbacks to consider, the overall quality of the food & ambiance make this restaurant a solid four-star destination for a memorable meal.View more
This is my review after the sixth visit. Nestled in the heart of Westmount, Petros is a Greek culinary haven that I recently had the pleasure of experiencing. From the moment I stepped in, the restaurant's beauty struck me - a perfect blend of traditional Greek charm & modern elegance. The warm lighting, rustic decor, & inviting atmosphere set the stage for a memorable dining experience, complemented by the company I was fortunate to share it with. 😍
As I settled in, it became evident that the restaurant was understaffed, with only one waiter & a pair of hostesses attending to the entire dining area. While this didn't dampen the overall mood, it did extend the waiting times, testing our patience ever so slightly. 😕 The presence of the manager was noted, though his involvement seemed limited when it came to assisting the team during peak hours. It would have been a plus to witness a more hands-on managerial approach. .0246974398934E+34;
🥗 Now, let's delve into the culinary delights that Petros had to offer. The Greek salad, a true hallmark of Mediterranean cuisine, was a burst of freshness on the palate. The generous cuts of tomatoes provided a juicy & tangy counterpoint to the crisp lettuce, cucumbers, & olives. The dressing, a medley of olive oil, lemon, & herbs, tied the elements together harmoniously. 😋
🦑 A standout among the appetizers was the grilled calamari. The delightful char on the tender rings of calamari showcased the kitchen's mastery of grilling, while the seasoning brought out the natural flavors of the seafood. The dish disappeared from the table in no time, leaving behind satisfied smiles all around. 🦑
🍣 For the main course, I decided to embark on a seafood journey, opting for the trio of salmon, grilled shrimp, & swordfish. The fish was beautifully cooked, each variety carrying its unique taste & texture. The salmon, delicate & buttery, practically melted in my mouth, while the swordfish offered a firm & succulent bite. The grilled shrimp, marinated to perfection, provided a satisfying crunch that paired wonderfully with the seafood's tenderness. 🍤🐟
🥦 Alas, not every dish was flawless. The green beans, which had the potential to shine as a delightful side, were unfortunately let down by an unexpected mushiness. It was a minor setback, considering the overall quality of the meal, but still worth mentioning. 🥦
🍷 Petros brings forth a commendable Greek dining experience that marries picturesque surroundings with a medley of flavorful dishes. While the service might have experienced some bottlenecks, the delightful food & charming ambiance ultimately prevail. A visit to Petros promises a journey to the heart of Greece's culinary traditions, where the flavors transport you to the sun-kissed shores of the Mediterranean. 👍🌟View more
Beautifully decorated restaurant resembling Santorini; nice outdoor terrace for dining al fresco. We ordered quite a few appetizers (hot & cold) but were disappointed in the tarama, eggplant dip & the kopanisti which was way too salty. Ordered a moussaka which at $29 was overpriced & mediocre. The sardines (appetizer) was ok. The dessert (galaktoboureko) was good & so was the Greek coffee. Overpriced restaurant to compensate for the BYOB policy. Service was professional throughout. A bit of a disappointment considering.
We all enjoyed our meals but we couldn't believe the $2 recycling charge that we all got on our bills.
My wife & I were also surprised when we were told that we had to order another plate after we ordered an appetizer, $19 salad & fish for $30.
We tried to discuss this with the waiter but he insisted that we had to order another plate.
