Another fabulous meal at Petros Griffintown made even better & so wonderful by our favourite & most attentive server, Marino! The small Greek salad for two was so fresh & delicious, & our mains of Porgy & Mediterranean sea bass with fresh veg & potato side dishes, were both generous & simply superb!
Besides all the wonderful food & great service, the ambiance was as always, truly warm & romantic!
Undoubtedly, it's the best Greek food in town! Amazing quality for value. The BYOB is an added great bonus! Looking forward to our next visit ! 😁

I had heard so many great things about Petros in Griffintown that I arrived with fairly high expectations. I'm happy to say the experience not only met them - it exceeded them.
From the moment we sat down, everything about the evening felt thoughtfully executed. The cuisine is authentic Greek & Mediterranean, prepared with a refined, high-end touch. Every dish showcased remarkable freshness & balance. The appetizers were beautifully presented & full of flavor, the salad was vibrant & perfectly seasoned, & the highlight of the evening - the grilled fish - was absolutely outstanding. It was cooked to perfection & truly memorable.
Service also deserves special mention. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, & gracious throughout the meal, offering thoughtful recommendations & making the entire experience feel relaxed & welcoming.
Another great advantage is that the restaurant is bring-your-own-wine, which adds a wonderful level of flexibility & enjoyment to the evening.
Petros delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. I will absolutely be returning & would highly recommend it to anyone looking for outstanding Mediterranean cuisine in Montreal.
Marino was our waiter. This is only positive thing here. He is attentive & listen. He is abit in your face but in a charming fun way. I liked it.
The food, quite disappointed in the price but most certainly the quality. When you pride yourself in having such great Greek food you need to have standard..
The kopinisti was so salty due to the lower class feta used.
The Greek salad, the tomatoes were soggy & old with some kind of extra creamy'feta'. Quite displeasing. For a fine Greek restaurant you cannot lower the standard so much on tomatoes & feta
The meat tastes old & completely under spiced. The Lamb chops were ok. There was no lemon to add to our meat.
The bread was stale & old. This was a first for me to be served stale bread.
Take away everything Greek in the food & then server is as Greek food at a premium price
We asked for the manager to explain to him our thought but it seemed he had left.
I write this review so people can know & hopeful management listens & fixes their menu. It's a shame cause the decor & ambiance is good.
We made last minute reservations for dinner to this place & it was a great experience ! The restaurant is so well lit & makes you feel you are really in a Greek town thanks to the walls & the decor ❤? For appetizers, they gave us incredible bread with olive oil/vinegar & we ordered the Spanakopita which was so delicious ❤? For the main meal, I had the Surf & Turf (2 lamb chops & 2 shrimp) that came with Greek-style Potatoes & Vegetables of the Day while my partner had Moussaka & each bite was a gourmet's delight 😍❤? The service was fast & very kind in asking us if we liked the food frequently. Highly recommend this 11/10 Greek restaurant to everyone who loves great food, ambience, & the hospitality & we cannot wait to try other items on the menu on our subsequent visits 😊 UPDATE: Had Greek salad, tzatziki pita spread, filet mignon brochette , & chicken brochette & very delicious as ever ❤? MORE UPDATES: Went for dinner & had the amazing Petros special (thinly breaded eggplant & zucchini with tzatziki), broiled cod, & Giovetsi (lamb shank) & really wow ❤?❤? A wonderful 11/10 venue with great food & fantastic service
Petros in Griffintown is a great-looking place-nice decor, chill vibe, definitely a good spot to sit down & feel a little fancy.
We ordered a few appetizers: the grilled calamari was amazing, the Greek salad was fresh, the fried zucchini was okay, & the sardines were… just there. Tasty overall, but the prices for apps were way too high.
For mains, we got the lamb chops & the chicken. The waiter hyped the lamb like it was life-changing-it wasn't. Dry & underwhelming. The chicken, on the other hand, was the star of the night-juicy & full of flavour. Fries? Soggy & sad.
All in all, Petros has great atmosphere & a few hits on the menu, but it's a mixed bag. I'd go back but not for the lamb chops & the fries.
Service was good overall, the waiters are easy & attentive. Felt like we aged a bit waiting for the mains.
La dorade royale est un très bon choix & toujours savoureuse, de même que la salade grecque qui peut être partagée, car copieuse. Les légumes grillés servis en accompagnement pourraient être un peu plus croquants, mais demeurent quand même bons. Le service mené par Marino peut être qualifié de convivial, toujours aussi attentionné & efficace, ponctué à l'occasion d'une pointe d'humour.

We brought our Greek friends here & had an amazing experience! From perfectly executed flaming saganaki to a giant flavourful Greek salad to deliciously fried calamari to wonderfully grilled fish, our charismatic server Marino made the evening! We'll be back.
I wish I took a picture of the Greek salad - it was UNREAL. Get that salad - don't even hesitate. The place was empty - mind you it was a Tuesday evening but still surprising. Despite this, the food was fantastic.
Excellent service de Marino. 5 Étoiles. Toujours un plaisir de manger au Petros Griffintown. Poisson frais & exquis, salade grecque délicieuse, saganaki flambée, merveilleux feta crémeux. Le saumon, les calmars frits, le loup de mer était exquis. Un régal incomparable. Très belle atmosphère & musique grecque. Un peu de la Grèce à Montreeal. Nous reviendrons bientôt ! Ted the owner of a bunch of these places, cooked up a feast for his guests on Easter Sunday. This man is a work horse. Appetizers of fried zucchini with tzatziki but the way it's meant to be...crunchy. Lamb from the rotating charcoal to the table. Chicken from the grill. & salad, let me tell you, this man knows somebody because he serves the freshest tomatoes in his salads.

Worth it! Ask for Veronica Greeted by super friendly staff & were escorted to a large round table for our party of 10 - love a restaurant with a round table! Veronica was our server, she was lovely. The food was fresh & delicious. The portions are generous. Worth every penny. To start: We had calamari & octopus, portions are shareable which was really nice. The beet salad & the Greek salad were amazing.Finally we had the saganaki which was some of the best had in the city. For mains we had the fish of the day to share served table side, the lamp chops (delicious!), the chicken was tender & moist & the shrimp plate. The atmosphere, the friendly competent service & the delicious fresh food make this a place we will go back to over & over again for sure! We hope to have Veronica every time!
We dined at this location on January 2, 2024. We had a reservation for 4 PPL & though we arrived 10 minutes apart from each other, we were seated at different tables even though both parties mentioned the name of the reservation. The waiter did not really know what to suggest as he couldn't even describe the differences between a snapper, a porgy & a seabass. We ordered the grilled octopus (which arrived cold) & the Mikonos salad which was supposed to have fresh fennel & figs & I couldn't find any in it . It was essentially a chopped romaine salad with what tasted like a raspberry bottled dressing with a half strawberry on top for $26. Our meal was supposed to come with Greek Potatoes & Grilled Veg & I wish I had taken a pic to attach to this review but I received the equivalent of one small piece of zucchini, one piece of eggplant & a pice of pepper & 2 small grelot potatoes. When asked why I didn't receive the traditional Greek potato wedge drenched in lemon juice & spices, I was told that the grelots were a good price that week so that is what the chef prepared. We asked for the proper potatoes & we were brought 4 wedges, 1 wedge each. If you are looking for a mid to high end dining experience, this is not the place however the prices do not seem to match the experience here. If you want the consistent quality with matching service, stick to the OG restarant that starts with a M & ends in ILOS.
Le stationnement n'est vraiment pas évident dans ce secteur!!! C'est un restaurant authentique Grec, la décoration à l'intérieur est unique aussi. L'entrée zucchini est assez réussi (on ne compte pas les calories engloutis). La salade également très goûteux. La pizza 🍕 fromage flambée devant nos yeux. Il y a 2 plateau à partager soit aux fruits de mer ou bien à la viande. Ceux qui n'aime pas la viande vont adorer celui du fruit de mer. L'accueil & le service impeccable. Mis à part le prix la nourriture est très bonne. Parking is really not easy in this area!!! It is an authentic Greek restaurant, the decoration inside is unique too. The zucchini starter is quite successful (we do not count the calories consumed). The salad also very tasty. The pizza 🍕 cheese flambé before our eyes. There are 2 platters to share, either seafood or meat. Those who don't like meat will love the seafood one. Impeccable hospitality & service. Apart from the price the food is very good.
Always really good food & service. We have had the lamb chops, seabass, chicken, greek salad, shrimp. Everything was fresh & tasty. The service is always friendly

Une très belle place bien décorée! Le service est bien! La bouffe pour certains plats c’était excellent exemple la salade, les zucchini’s & aubergine OMG un délice, la tapenades à l’entrée aussi! Ce que j’ai aimé moins parce il manquait un peu de goût les calamars frits & le poisson manquaient de goût.
the cookery on the seafood platter was exquisite. Greek salad was so delicious, served at perfect temperature so vegetables are sooo tasty. If you are craving octopus, calamari & grilled vegetables try this restaurant!
The staff was super nice. We were a big group & they were patient with us. The food was great & the ambiance was amazing. I had the small Greek salad & the portion was perfect & it tasted fresh & good.
From start to finish, our experience at Petros was perfect! Our waiter basically ordered our entire meal. For appetizerers we had the pita & tzatziki, calamari, greek salade, octopus, & fried zuchinni. The main course was lamb, chicken, & jumbo shrimp. Everything was so tasty & the timing of the food was great. We left feeling like the price for the quality of the food was extremely fair. We will definitely be going back!
