Another great experience today in October 2022. We were served with Petro, super professional, best service polite with an amazing knowledge of their menu. He took a very good care of us & they had a new dish, avocado salmon toast & I loved it. I can easily say one of the best breakfast places in Montréal!
Just a small update, visited again after many many times, as awesome as always! A special big, very big thank you to Jerry, Jerry, your energy makes the day beautiful & brings smile to everyone's face.

We just happened to stumble upon this place, & I am so glad that we did! This is truly the best breakfast I've had, & the service was impeccable. I ordered the apple Mont Blanc & it was delicious! Tasted just like cheesecake. I also adore the unique way they cut their home fries. Makes for perfect crispiness. Portion sizes were massive. Everything was seasoned to perfection & delicious. I can't wait until we visit Montreal again so we can eat at Petinos!

Petinos is hands down one of my go-to places for breakfast whenever I'm in Montreal. The food is consistently delicious, with generous portions that leave you satisfied. The service is always top-notch, with friendly & attentive staff who make the experience even better. Whether you're a local or just visiting Montreal , I highly recommend starting your day at Petinos!
I came here a few months ago with a friend, & the service was great (it was super busy) along with the food. Unfortunately this time, I decided to bring my young daughter to have breakfast, I walk in & it's not super busy, the hostess was super friendly & seated us, looked through the menu then we waited, & waited, & waited.. 25 minutes later as my waiter chit chatted & offered people refills among other things, completely disregarded us.. never came by to ask if we were ready to order even with menus to the side, closed. My young daughter, who was hungry had no more patience after almost a half an hour waiting, so we decided to leave, & our waiter made no effort to ask if everything was ok or find out what the issue was. I have no problem waiting, but when I see my waiter off to the side just talking it's almost as if we were invisible. I will try again some other time, maybe it is an off day.
This one Sucks 2023 *** update 2024 June *** I went there to eat breakfast. it was not bad, & the service was way good big difference between before & now
I had the avocado toast with mixed fruit (pineapple, berries, etc.), with home fries & scrambled eggs. It was delectable & the portions were very large. So big in fact, that I split the dish with my coworker. I will return asap. The staff was very friendly & the service was terrific. My other coworkers had a traditional breakfast with sausage, crepes, etc. They enjoyed their experience as well.

I had been going to Petinos since they opened. A few years ago I stopped going since the owners had changed & I found that the meals were not the same. The portion size was much smaller so I stopped going. Then, today, I decided to go with my wife & see if things had improved. To my surprise they had greatly improved due to the new owner, Tracey. The portions were much bigger. We ordered two eggs & received two eggs. We ordered potatoes & received a very generous portion. Petinos was back to being the excellent restaurant I remember. We enjoyed the food & our entertaining waiter, Sylvain. You could see the smile on this face through the mask. I do recommend Petinos. It is back to being the great breakfast & lunch restaurant it once was & maybe more so. Returned again & this time we were served by Jerry. Very fast, excellent service.
2021 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: Great friendly service, huge portions of tasty food. 2022 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: Amended to reflect 5 stars for service. Very attentive & fast. I went twice in the last three days, the second time for a birthday breakfast; & a quick hint at the host upon entry braught a wonderful little birthday surprise for my friend without any further prompting; Coffee top ups, check ins, plentiful, good food..wonderful experience 2024 ⭐️: March break Friday, got up early to catch the Early Bird special, just to have our server Niko somehow screw up our order & as an amendment charge full price minus 10%. This in itself is not a problem, but he didn't own up to it, said we came in too late. (We entered the restaurant at 8h14, ordered our food within the next 5 minutes, the special is good until 8h30). It was full & there didn't seem to be enough staff, which makes me understand why our food arrived almost cold. But as it is, with the way the service was handled today, this will be our last visit for a while.
It's a regular easy breakfast go-to! So far have had good experiences. All the waiters have been great. The food is fresh & good. Sometimes there's some not so nice pieces of fruit & i find it a bit weird how at their closing at 3 they start shutting the lights off. I've never had that experience elsewhere, when they would close they would still let us sit & finish our meal in a timely matter & they would close/clean/mop/count their money & they wouldn't be bothered. Last time here it was 3:05 & the busboy came & was quite rude & took everything away in a rude way while getting all the table crumbs on me, he clearly lacks being careful. Anywho, other than that, it's good.
One of my friends recommended this place & I had never been to before. It's like any breakfast place but honestly the quality is on another level. I ordered the Montérégie & was not disappointed LOL. I'm definitely coming back.
