Only knocked one star off the food because of the portion reduction. Food is amazing. Even with the portions being reduced, we still pick up regularly cause its so good. We have never dined in, so I based 5 stars off the service at the cashier.
I ordered canolli's from this place & the cheese was grainy/old. The pastry daugh was soft as clearly they weren't fresh & paid 30$ for 3 of them with an anrinchini ball. Not worth the money, it was unadleble I trought it out. Complained & nothing got done. Do not order from here is you value your money. It was Nasty
I asked for extra sauce & I received the driest tortellini ever.....also, quite a few of the cheese pasta were not cooked. I made a quick sauce & had to cook the pasta to make it al dente. Not happy....the photo is after I added water. Usually this place is amazing....when I called back to advise them, it was clear the owners were not there.
Went there for lunch had the special. The pasta was overcooked, there were slices of disgusting sausage on top. My husband also said the same. I barely ate much. Should have bought pasta in a tin it may have been better. There were two people in the entire restaurant & it was lunchtime. It used to be better what happened???
Spaghetti Al Olio! The easiest pasta dish in the world! Total trash! I have travel around the world this had to be the most terrible Al Olio I have ever had!
Came to Pastamore with family. Overall, it was a mixed experience.
Food:
I ordered the Fettuccine Pesto (2/5). The noodles were cooked just right, but the flavor was very bland. I make this at home & it's usually much more savory. I was told to add parmesan, which helped a bit, but didn't bring out the pesto flavor enough. The bread served with it was generous in size. The salad was prepackaged but decent.
If I were rating just my dish, I'd give it a 2/5.
I did get to try two types of ravioli, & those were better (good filling, nice consistency), a solid 3/5.
Ambiance:
Very casual. It has more of a cafeteria-style feel, where you order at the counter & wait for your number to be called.
Service:
Service was okay. Nothing bad, but nothing especially memorable either.
Overall, it's fine for a quick, casual bite with the family, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Although, I may very well try a different fish next time because my brother loves this place.
Food is top quality (fresh pasta & homemade sauces) & choices are abundant! Service is very friendly, but they do not offer table service. It is cafeteria style (order at the counter & carry your food to your table). The dining room is clean & bright with ample tables. Highly recommended for a casual, affordable & delicious pasta meal!
quite disappointed. Ordered & paid for a spagetti plate yesterday with a meatball & sausage on the side & a home noticed no mb or sausage included. It was on the ticket. I drove from Dorval for my meal. I tried calling to note the mistake & by 830 nobody answering
