4th visit to Pasta Pooks, & it's just as good every time.
Even after just getting back from Italy, this Montreal Italian staple continues to impress & consistently delivers.
We didn't have a reservation, so we put our name down, grabbed a drink, & about 40 minutes later we were seated on the terrace. The service was lovely from start to finish.
The fennel salad to start was fresh & delicious. We shared the Ravioli di Ricotta e Spinaci & the Triangoli con Stracchino e Funghi, & both were outstanding. Paired with a nice Montepulciano, it made for another memorable meal.
Four visits in, & Pasta Pooks never disappoints. 🇮🇹🍝🍷❤?
Pasta Pooks in Montréal is absolutely delicious. The food is first rate & well worth the visit. The space is small, though they are expanding, which will be welcome given how popular it is.
We shared the fried zucchini flower to start, followed by the bean salad, pesto gnocchi, & spinach ricotta ravioli. Every dish was excellent. We sat at the counter , staff was really friendly .We waited about thirty minutes for a spot, but it was absolutely worth it for such outstanding food.
I had a takeout gnocchi. Asked the server what's the size of the portion, his reply'good for 2 people' for 30+ cad that seemed reasonable. To my surprise the portion was not even enough for 1 person, the tray was half empty! As to be expected in montreal, I guess, lots of hype , not much substance. Overall a disappointing experiance. 35$for a gnocchi of that size is a ripoff, plain & simple.
We had a wonderful experience at Pasta Pooks. The service was outstanding & the food didn't disappoint. Gnocchi was delicate & flavourful. The asperagus was surprisingly tasty, wrapped in prosciutto with a creamy egg dressing. The atmosphere was vibrant & fun, you really felt like everyone loved working there. Highly recommend if you're a visitor or a local.
Amazing food & service! It was our first time trying Pasta Pooks & the food was delicious! We had the bread service, followed by the baccalà to start which was served on fried polenta & the italian sausage appetizer. They were absolutely to die for & really set the tone for a great dinner!
We had the gnocchi with tomato sauce & the garganelli with a butter & mushroom sauce for our mains, which were all homemade & equally delicious. The portions were perfect & the value received for the price is outstanding.
Comme déjà mentionné par plusieurs personnes dans les commentaires, 32$ pour 15 gnocchis & 2 cuillère à soupe de sauce tomate ca fait vraiment trop cher. Je n'ai malheureusement pas été transcendée par le goût non plus. Bien triste.
J'ai enfin découvert ce petit & sympa restaurant de la Petite Italie & le coup de foudre à opéré! Les gnocchis aux tomates & pecorino m'ont complètement renversé par leur tendreté & goût délicieux! Pour terminer, j'ai goûté à la décadente tarte aux cerises du Québec avec crème glacée à la vanille de la crémerie Meu Meu! Un petit coup de coeur malgré le prix quand même élevé pour ce petit arrêt dîner sur le pouce. J'y retournerai, assurément!
Pâtes somptueuses & authentiques. Gnocchi alla ricotta comme un nuage en bouche. N'hésitez pas à essayer les autres plats comme les entrées, très originales. Beau choix de vins aussi. Pasta Pooks, à découvrir absolument!
Ultra décevant & ridiculement cher. Agnolotti à la farce hyper salée & peu savoureuse, sauce très sucrée. Gnocchi très ordinaires, avec beaucoup de farine. Sauce tomate trop acide.
