Parma Café offers a cozy, welcoming atmosphere where Italian flavors shine in panini, pastas, salads, and coffee, with reviews highlighting crusty panini such as porchetta, mortadella with pistachio pesto, and eggplant parmesan, along with a Caprese salad and a latte that many praise as superb. The service is frequently described as friendly and attentive, making guests feel at home whether studying or grabbing a bite, though busy periods can bring slower timing and occasional uneven dish execution such as bland fillings or sandwiches arriving cold. The cafe is noted for a clean, comfortable vibe, open kitchen visibility, and reasonable prices, while a few comments mention higher prices for portion size or variability in quality. Overall Parma Café is seen as a reliable go-to for a casual lunch or cafe stop with a charming atmosphere, solid coffee and sandwiches, and a willingness to return, despite the occasional hiccup.
I paid almost $20 (with tax) for a chicken panini at Parma Café Jean talon & honestly, it was not worth it. The taste was very average - nothing special, & definitely not worth that price. I also left a $2 tip, but the person taking the order didn't seem pleased, maybe my tip was too small. That made the experience even more disappointing.
For $20, there are definitely much better options in town. I had higher expectations, but this place did not deliver. Looks impressive, but doesn't deliver.
Sorry. But I won't be visiting again.
When I have a day off & the National Library seems a little too much for me go to, this coffee shop is my number one choice location to write & think. Just a two-minute walk from the metro, next to Montreal's biggest farmers' market, & it offers a lot of space if you're someone who brings books & a laptop (they have plug sockets too!!!). Coffee is brewed awesomely, but the excellent service is what convinced me to be a repeat customer.

Stopped by Parma Café just for coffee & it hit the spot. Good quality, tasted fresh, & service was quick & friendly. Nothing fancy, just a solid, reliable cup. Would grab coffee here again.
Got the sandwich of the month & it's probably going to be a core memory. Truffle, honey, mushroom, arugula & prosciutto. That chef Jeff really knows his stuff. Compliments to the chef🤩

Wow! sandwich steack/peperoni incroyablement bon !!
