This place is a hidden gem! I ordered the Laoyo fried wide rice noodles (vegetarian option). It was unlike anything else I've tasted before. Nice smoky, rich flavour & texture with just the right level of saltiness & spiciness. I would definitely go back to eat there & for take outs.View more

Visiting from Chicago, couldn't help & stopped by this restaurant. I'm from Guilin haven't had Guilin rice noodles for like a century. Really surprised that they have it in downtown Montreal. Ordered rice noodles with beef very authentic & owner is super friendly & laid back that's my vibe. Y'all need to try more kinds of rice noodles from Guangxi province, the land of rice noodles!View more

Guilin, renowned as the nature paradise of China, boasts the most exquisite scenery on earth. & the Guilin rice noodles is theirs special. After getting the rice noodles, I paired them with sour bamboo shoots, sour beans, boiled eggs & fried peanuts...I have a bowl of rice noodles that was unique to me. I ate it quietly, & there was still a small mouthful left. I used the small bowl of rice noodle soup given by the store to heat up the rice noodles, side dishes & brine. I had the chicken fried rice extra spicy. It was great on flavor & actually spicy compared to most. She even double checked that I wanted extra spicy. My only issue is the soy sauce was a bit too much vinegary for my liking unless they had the soy sauce & vinegar mixed up. You do get a lot of food for the money. Staff were very nice.View more
