About

Palais D'Ajit specializes in traditional Indian cuisine with a comprehensive focus on vegetarian dishes that reflect authentic regional preparation methods. The kitchen utilizes a diverse array of whole spices and aromatics to craft complex gravies and dry preparations that highlight the inherent qualities of fresh vegetables and legumes. Diners encounter a menu featuring items such as paneer specialties, seasoned lentil preparations, and vegetable biryanis that prioritize bold and balanced flavor profiles. Freshly baked breads cooked in a tandoor oven serve as essential accompaniments to the textured sauces and curated vegetable curries. The interior environment emphasizes a functional approach to service that keeps the focus entirely on the seasoned, plant-based culinary offerings. Every dish presents an uncompromising exploration of subcontinent flavor traditions through consistent spice application and careful cooking techniques.

Shortly visited a friend in Verdun & decided to get takeout from here. A very wise choice lmao. It was so good. I'm tempted to visit more just to get something from this place again. When I went to collect my order I had forgotten my card to pay & they happily waited for me to return. There was one lady who didn't speak English but quickly understood I didn't speak any other language & all went really well. Would recommend it if you're in the mood for it.

Best food best service. We were looking for that one Indian restaurant to have good tasteful food & we were just passing by Verdun & found this one. Since then we're back every weekend. The butter chicken is the best butter chicken I have tested in my whole life. My boyfriend had Jafralzi chicken & it's also so so so good.
Thank you to the young lady who always serves us with a smile, so kind ❤?

Cosy restaurant in Verdun on the northwest corner of 3rd Avenue & Verdun Avenue. Delicious cuisine. I had the Chicken Curry Thali. Excellent. Naan was super too. Friendly service & relaxed atmosphere. Lots of tempting appetizers & dishes on the menu. I am looking forward to trying their Chicken Vindaloo. I highly recommend this place.

Palais d'Ajit is by far the best Indian restaurant in Verdun/Southwest Montreal. The food is always delicious & is reasonably priced compared to other Indian restaurants. It's a better place for delivery or pick up than to eat at in person though. The two times I've been in person it was super cold (AC on in winter...) & there is no ambiance to speak of - no music, plain decor (if any - can't recall). But the food is great, as evidenced by how packed the restaurant is all the time.

Was very impressed by the quality of food served here. Who knew you could find good Indian food like this in Verdun? I've usually trekked all the way to Jean-Talon for this quality, but I will no longer! Very, very happy with their food & prices! :)
