Magnifique lieu très accueillant, tous les plats étaient délicieux, on sent la fraîcheur des produits, la justesse des assaisonnements, des pâtes maison qui fondent sur la langue, un régal !
Une très belle découverte pour l'anniversaire de mon conjoint ! Service aux petits soins, efficace & discret, avec d'excellents conseils. Les plats sont travaillés & savoureux, avec une cuisine italienne revisitée autour des produits locaux & de saison. Gros coup de coeur aussi pour les cocktails, vraiment excellents, chose assez rare dans un restaurant. Le décor est superbe & très confortable, avec un beau travail de matières. Bref, une très belle expérience, nous reviendrons !
This is a beautiful restaurant, both literally in terms of design & figuratively, in terms of the flavours of the dishes. Everything is well balanced, including the amazing desserts. The music choices are also great with some old Italian songs being part of the rotation. My one nit pick is that some dishes have quite small portions, as it is rare that I leave a restaurant hungry after 5-6 shared dishes. Well worth a visit however!
Nous sommes venus dans cet établissement avec des amis, notamment parce que nous connaissions le Chef de son passage chez Maison Boulud & avions envie de découvrir sa cuisine dans son restaurant. Nous étions donc particulièrement enthousiastes à l'idée de passer une belle soirée autour de sa table.
La cuisine était effectivement remarquable. Les plats étaient succulents, raffinés & exécutés avec beaucoup de soin. Le talent du Chef est indéniable & c'est sincèrement ce que nous retenons de plus positif de notre visite.
Malheureusement, l'expérience a été fortement ternie par le service de la sommelière, également propriétaire de l'établissement. Nous avons trouvé son attitude particulièrement désagréable & son approche peu chaleureuse, ce qui a créé un malaise au cours de la soirée.
C'est dommage, car nous étions entre amis & venions simplement pour passer un bon moment & profiter d'une cuisine que nous savions de qualité. Nous avons donc quitté le restaurant avec un sentiment partagé : une cuisine excellente, mais une expérience humaine qui, malheureusement, n'était pas à la hauteur de celle-ci.
Une très belle assiette mérite aussi un accueil & un service qui contribuent à en faire une très belle expérience...
On a vraiment adoré notre expérience dans ce restaurant. La nourriture était excellente, les plats étaient savoureux & bien exécutés, & le service était impeccable.
Un gros merci à Isabelle, la sommelière, qui était fantastique. Elle connaissait vraiment bien ses vins & ses recommandations étaient parfaites. Elle a vraiment contribué à rendre notre soirée encore plus agréable.
L'ambiance était également très agréable & chaleureuse. Bref, une très belle découverte & un endroit où on va certainement retourner. Je recommande sans hésitation!
Recently visited Berto's & although the service & atmosphere were definitely 5 stars, I was a little disappointed with the food. We ordered the un peu de chez moi cheese & meat platter, the crudo, the alla'Finanziera' pasta, & the fish of the day. The cheese & meat platter was good quality but nothing that you can't get at a local Italian market, the crudo was a little bland, the fish was nice, & the pasta was rather underwhelming. It was an offal pasta dish, which I usually love, but the chunks of organs were large in size, so the texture was hard to overcome & the flavour wasn't anything extraordinary. We skipped dessert as we weren't very impressed with the food overall. I do have to say that the cocktails were great & the wine selection was fantastic! Wouldn't go back for dinner but would consider it a nice spot for aperitivo.
