sando(104) cafe(102) matcha(84) sandwich(67) latte(67) drink(62) music(62) curry(61) coffee(61) vibe(60) recommend(51) tamago(42)Exceptional cafe with a one of a kind space. Everything feels expertly curated, plenty of seating inside & a wonderful private terrace if you'd like a little sun. The matcha was flavourful & clean & bright with a subtle contrasting astringency at the end. The hojicha was similar with a delicate chocolatey earthiness. I would visit again anytime I find myself in the neighbourhood. Bravo.
Had the Tomago Sando which was really good & also tried the hojicha latte & yuzu lemonade. The lemonade was sour & not too sweet in the best way. I would recommend all of these items. It is a unique space that is well decorated. When we visited on a Saturday afternoon it was busy & there was a dj playing, so it was pretty loud. It doesn't have the relaxing atmosphere I would usually enjoy at a café.
The place is not a typical cafe in terms of coffee & treats.
A lot of the drinks & food are based on Japanese cuisine.
But it's good!
Great atmosphere with vinyl records to choose from. So that makes it also a music bar.
Nice lighting scheme with use of skylights. It's cool in summer & warm in winter.
The biggest challenge is parking nearby to access the place.
Immaculate vibes
The matcha is, indeed, a must in mtl
The space is so nice & inviting, but people KNOW SO IT'S PACKED
if you manage to find space pls go!
++++ cause the staff is so nice
didn't expect the food to be that good. it was full but my katsu sando was ready within less than 10 minutes. seems like a cool place to go & chill listening to some nice music.
The food was great, but the service was horrible I had to wait close to 1hr for a sandwich
This place could be better managed. I went there twice but both time the sandwiches are sold out. The second time I went around 1pm… it was not very late for a Saturday. But otherwise very cute place & nice drinks
Food is amazing but it always takes an hour to get a sando or a rice curry
Awesome little joint, don't be fooled by the exterior. Great sandwiches & to my surprise the Katsu Curry was great too.
As it moonlights as a club it's atmosphere is loud even during day service. There is a decibel monitor in the cafe & it was at 82 when we were there. We didn't wait for a line at 11:30am but the line quickly grew as we waited for our food so be ready to wait as it's a popular spot.
We heard about this place researching for our trip to Montreal & it was great for us.
Great music & atmosphere here, the food is delicious but the portions are a bit small. I ordered the chicken katsu curry(??) & there were two small pieces of chicken in it.
I tried a Yuzu tea & a Karaage sandwich.
The yuzu tea was made with Sencha, which is a type of green tea. I didn't expect it to be green tea, & I wish it had been written clearly on the menu. If I had known, I wouldn't have ordered it.
The karaage sandwich had Japanese-style fried chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, & jalapenos. I expected it to be hot, but both the bread & the chicken were cold, which was disappointing.
It also took about 30 minutes to get the sandwich after ordering. You should go there only if you have patience & plenty of time.
We got to osmo right before the rush. My hojicha latte was delicious. Would love to go back to try their sandwiches. Great vibe in there & lovely garden patio.
Excellent futuristic spaceship vibes inside, & the best oat milk matcha OF. MY. LIFE.
