Osmo X Marusan comes across as a stylish, vibrant cafe in downtown Montreal with a lively vibe, strong coffee and a notable lineup of matcha and hojicha lattes, plus creative Japanese inspired sandwiches such as tamago sando and karaage sando and curry bowls; the space and terrace are great for studying or hanging out, and a casual DJ moment adds to the atmosphere, but the place is often crowded and loud with long waits for food at peak times, and some dishes or portions can feel small or uneven while service can be variable, yet the overall experience centers on the ambiance and drinks and many guests say they would return to try new items.
Perfect spot to get some work done / catch up with a friend / stop for a quick bite. Find myself coming back over & over again. Their matcha latte is exactly how I like it, & their katsu curry/sando are super tasty.

SO many dogs in the place Misbehaved (pacing around, trying to interact with other dogs/people) & literally sitting up on the chairs eating Very strange & annoying experience. You know they aren't service dogs based on how they act & are dressed. I don't even think it's supposed to be allowed according to the health unit? Just something that makes the visit irritating.
The chicken karaage was delish. However the egg sandwich was a let down. Way too much bread towards the end, the sauce didn't taste really good & it was heavy overall, as the egg is breaded.
Food is amazing, tamago sando is insane . There's a dj. Hard to find seating. The place is very noisy, everyone seems like they are fake working/ socializing but it's a vibe
Student oriented place good luck trying to get your favourite sando after 3:00pm The melon bread is not worth it :/ Try the strawberry sando if you are obsessed with anime girls

Definitely a hip place. The kaarage sando & the katsu sando were delicious. Definitely recommend. We also enjoyed the sencha, & the yuzu lemonade. Although the to-go cups do not hold up. Within 15 mins, the cups were warping. Service was good, & they worked fast despite the line. My only complain is that the space is very loud & chaotic. It's a fun space to hangout & enjoy music, but it's not relaxing. They have their own decibel meter, which was consistently measuring at 80 decibels.
This cafe was super unique & amazing. The atmosphere & vibe were through the roof. I'm from Dallas, tx, & we have nice coffee shops, but nothing quite like this. We missed the place twice because from the outside, it looks almost like an abandoned building. They had a D.J. playing some really chill tunes. The iced coffees were fantastic. We didn't order food because we had just eaten, but the food coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. We really enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend 👌
Absolutely loved it !!!! the atmosphere & service was beyond !! They brought out it food to us, was quick, & most importantly it was delicious💕 My mom & I thoroughly enjoyed.
Got the vegan curry which was fantastic! Ditched my family who were sitting inside because I got drawn in by the atmosphere & DJ. Ended up reading a really good magazine that they had there :)
Such a unique space! The inside kind of makes you forget that you're in the middle of the city. The food was tasty & drinks were both good! The salad dressing was so refreshing! Nice that there's a self serve water station as well. Will definitely return whenever I'm back in the city.
A nice spot with good katsu & cool drinks! It honestly gives a coworking space vibe since it has large cafeteria-like tables where (during the school year) lots of people have laptops & are working/studying. However, the chairs are very uncomfortable & it's so loud there. It gives me mixed signals. Also it's always full lol
