Been here a few times & the food + drinks + service never disappoint! Decent prices for serving size, everything I've had has been really good, service has been friendly, & it's a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

First time here! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess & made to feel welcome. The fairly good looking bar tender gave excellent recommendations on drinks & even found some hot sauce to accommodate my sour dough pizza. She created such a hospitable environment that I stayed for the comedy show. What a blast I didn't expect?! Travelling solo, this is way above average!!

'Origine Brass' literally popped up on Maps at the last-minute of searching for supper...& really liked it.
Nice choice of beers to suit all palates.
Take the time to browse the menu & try some apps: Jerk Shrimp was tender & flavourful; jalapeno croquettes were a surprise with the fluffy potato filling.
Colleague had the chicken sandwich & it looked (& supposedly tasted) great. Lots of crunchy chicken with right amount of fillings.
Pizza (Pesto + Prosciutto) was a hit!
Okay now for the opportunity for improvement: we were there when they had a DJ minding the music. Way too loud! If not for the cool layout of the restaurant with high ceilings, we would not have been able to hear conversations. Other patrons'complained' but little change in volume.
Had a fantastic dinner & drinks last night! The pepperoni pizza with hot honey was absolutely delicious, the perfect balance of savory & sweet. The atmosphere was lively, thanks to a great live band that added to the vibe. Shoutout to Kat for the excellent service, friendly, attentive, & made the night even better. Highly recommend!

Their beer selection is top-notch, offering a great variety that pairs perfectly with their delicious menu. If you're a fan of quality food, great drinks, & outstanding service, Origine Brass is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
I don't even know where to start - if I could give 10 stars, I would! This past weekend, I hosted my dad's surprise 70th birthday party for around 40 guests at Origine Brass, & I have nothing but the highest praise for the incredible staff who went above & beyond, making sure everything was flawless. Marc-André, the manager, was exceptional, working closely with me for weeks to plan the shared menu & coordinate the setup. His support turned my nerves into excitement, as he handled every detail with care. On the night of the event, our waiter, Justin, was absolutely outstanding. He was attentive & warm, checking in with me throughout the evening to ensure everyone had their drinks & dishes on time. The service was flawless - executed with such warmth & ease. My guests couldn't stop raving about the food & the ambiance; everyone was saying how they couldn't wait to return. Adding a personal touch, Dimo, their talented performer, welcomed my dad with a heartfelt rendition of "Happy Birthday" right as he walked in for his big surprise! My dad was beyond touched & kept saying how perfect the venue was, allowing everyone to mingle freely & enjoy a truly memorable evening. I can't recommend Origine Brass highly enough for West Island events - they're absolute professionals, & your event will be unforgettable in their capable hands. Thank you, Marc-André, Justin, the talented kitchen team, & all the staff involved in making the night a success, I wish I knew everyone's name to shout them out! We had the most wonderful time, & you all created an experience we'll cherish forever.

However, parking is limited, so you'll need to park on the street & walk. Despite this, it's a great spot for unwinding & friendly environment.
First time trying this hidden gem in the west island! Ordered some of their delicious entrees alongside drinks... amazing!!!! Our server Yoana was the sweetest, so so welcoming!!
My wife & I visited on a Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. for beer & pizza. It was a day with great weather, sunny & warm. When we arrived, we noticed that the terrace was full & inside was crowded as well, but they had a seat for us inside. Looking around, it was quite apparent that they were over-capacity & understaffed. But we decided to have a seat & prepare for a long wait. We ordered from the rather substantial on-tap beer menu & a pizza to share. The pizza arrived first & it was great. They brag about their sourdough pizza dough & it definitely is something to be proud of. The beer hadn't arrived yet though & I asked if our drinks were coming. It took another 20-30 minutes before they did arrive. My wife had a pint of one of their fruity sour beers & she was pretty happy with it. I ordered a sampler of four 5-oz tasters of some of their beers. The ones I tried were pretty good. It was a nice variety & I would like to try more of them. But given how busy they were & how long it took for our orders to arrive, we decided to call it a night. When the bill arrived I noticed that they hadn't charged us for the drinks & I asked about it & the server said that they were really sorry about how late they were & they comped us our drinks. Now to me, this is incredibly good customer service. We weren't actually super unhappy about the wait but I was impressed that they recognized that they weren't performing up to their own standards & took concrete steps to make us happy. Such a classy move on their part. We will definitely be back, maybe on a day & time that's not quite so busy. Looking forward to it.
Went for a surprise birthday 14 in our group. Service was good. I had the fish & chips, found it disappointing small fish portions & ok fries. My wife had a snitzel, which she found very good. Non drinker so only comments about the beer were from others in the group.... very positive comments, was enjoyed by all.
2 families. Got seated. Lighting is very dim....arguably too dim. Had to use phone flashlights to read the menu. No one tended to us for a while, had to flag down a waiter to take orders after 15-20 minutes of sitting, not sure why restaurant wasn't even half full. Missing cutlery on the table so had to steal some from vacant tables as no one seemed interested we were there. When we finally did order & food came out 2 pizzas were completely burnt underneath, completely black. I showed the waiter & told Him that the kitchen shouldn't let this leave the kitchen, he agreed & was very kind. He offered to take them back but we were hungry & burnt pizza is better than no pizza. The pizzas are a little on the small side, very puffy cornichone (crust) which leads to a soggy middle. For 25$ plus tax & tip they should do a little better. The waiter did comp our drinks which was a great gesture so we appreciate it. Beers were good, fresh & cold. Food & service needs to be tweaked to make this a better experience. The general consensus for the 4 adults after the meal was ....it was ok but we won't return.
Servers were very nice just difficult to get a hold of them. Empty plates stayed at the table all night not being picked up, took time to get drinks but otherwise the food was very good!
The first time I went to Origine Brass, I loved it. The food, the drinks, the service, everything was amazing. I couldn't recommend it enough & told everyone I knew that they had to check it out.
Unfortunately, my last few visits have left me feeling disappointed & generally unimpressed. The following happened during my most recent visits:
- I was served an ice cold chicken burger (not just a bit "cold" like it had been sitting out for too long, but absolutely freezing like it had just come out of the freezer).
- On another occasion, we were served a pizza with a large piece of plastic in the sauce.
While these 2 incidents left much to be desired food-wise, the service remained great & call me crazy, but I still wanted to go back.
However, my latest visit has left a sour taste in my mouth, & not because of the food.
8 of us went for dinner last night. We were asked if we wanted drinks or appetizers to start. We ordered both of these things: drinks, chips & dip, & fried pickles to start. The chips & dip arrived quickly, but our other appetizer did not. Long after we finished the chips, we noticed a plate of fried pickles sitting on the counter, & it proceeded to sit there for a further 10-15 minutes. It was only brought to us when all the mains were ready.
When the food was brought to the table, we mentioned that we saw our appetizer sitting on the counter for a long while & that we hopped it would still be warm & fresh. The waitress apologized & left.
Moments later the manager came to speak to us. She asked if there was a problem. We calmly & politely explained that we didn't understand why our appetizer wasn't brought to us before our mains, when we clearly saw that the appetizer was ready well before our mains were, & it just sat on the counter. The reply we got from the manager was "There's no need to be rude."
I can assure you, we were not rude. Having worked in customer service myself for many years, I am never one to be rude to staff.
She then proceeded to explain that under the heating lamps on the counter it isn't a problem, the food stays warm. She then asked us to taste the appetizer to see if it was hot & when we told her that it was, she said "Great. So there's no problem then." & walked away.
Origine Brass, I used to love you. I really did. But everything I used to love about this place has simply gotten worse & worse every time I go & I find myself asking myself why I keep going back. I should not be being served ice cold food, I should not be finding pieces of plastic in my pizza, & I definitely should not be getting scolded & condescended to by your staff when they are the ones who were not able to offer me adequate service.
I think it's fair to say that I've given you more than enough chances. But I can assure you that I will no longer be recommending you to family & friends, & I will definitely not be coming back any time soon.
