Rice was hot fell apart & Tuna & salmon super cold bland & tiny filling maybe 1 tbl spoon. no taste. nothing had taste but microwave rice & & sour hot goo.nasty. Throwed it out was so nasty hot & cold. Waste of money & DESERVE TO CLOSE. DiSGUSTiNG FOOD. Will never go back. want my money back for serving me disgusting product. should be publically shamed. wonder if reviews are fake
A bit over rated in my opinion. Went there last night & they did not have raw salmon. All the salmon options were unavailable which was very disappointing to me & all the group we went with.
The staff was a bit confused & not helpful at all but that's okay. We ordered the spicy tuna wakame onigiris & they were decent. Not too special. But not bad at all.
The rice to protein ratio was embarrassing but that's what you expect from cheap eats in Montreal. Each one was 6$ which is very cheap but I would say you need 2 or 3 if you wanna make it a meal instead of a snack.
Onigiris usually suffer from the deception of being mostly rice with very little inside. This place has none of that. Every single one of their onigiris are packed to the brim. So much that at times, it bursts from how packed it is. Ingredients are fresh. Rice is just right. The basics are always the toughest to refine, but this place has those basics down to perfection. & the Mini Ramen is always a joy to add. & so affordable. Where else can you be so satisfied for less than 15? Highly recommend.
I gave this place a second chance based on reviews so it's not consistent. But the second time was full of flavour, delicious full of meat & warm. The first time I went it was cold & mostly rice with little flavor. I'd try again to see if they are more consistent.
Me & my friend came here a couple of times already & 3/5 visits, we kept finding hair in our onigiri. They were nice enough to offer a refund or replace our food though. But three times out of five that I've visited, there must be something wrong here. Food is great when the rice isn't mostly mushy. I found the Monkland branch to serve better rice.
I was surprised to find out that they don't sell the plushies like the monkland branch. This place could use a lot more cozy decorations & lighting too. I also noticed that they give free food to certain customers. They used to have a weekly challenge for free drinks but I don't know how to get the free food. It's mostly the bearded guy that talks & gives free stuff to people. Seems to be a nice guy.
Warm & attentive staff make this cozy spot special. The onigiri tastes wonderfully authentic, with perfectly seasoned rice & high-quality ingredients throughout each carefully crafted piece.
Delightfully fresh ingredients come together in authentic onigiri creations. The spotless dining area & genuinely welcoming staff make this cozy spot perfect for a quick Japanese rice ball fix.
I tried the original spot of onigiri shop, & this one doesn't taste the same at all. what happened? It really didn't taste as good as the original spot. Rice was so mushy & bland. I wouldn't recommend. Try the OG spot. Difference is day & night. Disappointed.
