Lengthy review alert First, I started going to Onigiri shop pretty early on, I would say from January 14 as I saw it opened & was interested in trying it. I first went with friends & we each ordered a bunch of different onigiris to try as many flavors. We were blown away by how good it is (yes it is just rice & filling & seaweed technically) & had to get extra to share with other friends. But simple things are even harder to be delicious! The place is a little small, it cannot accommodate that many people, maybe 15-18 people to sit inside. They do share the space with the sushi store. I have since been almost weekly as it was always delicious & fresh. I guess this is a sign to just say that I have went there pretty often. Amongst all the times I have went I do need to precise that I have never gotten food poisoning, & neither have my friends & family. Contrary to that, they were also smitten by the onigiris. During the period where they weren't as busy, the owner had offered us tonjiru soup, as I kept asking every week but never had it, ultimately he did decide to remove it. (It was delicious) He was always super nice & welcoming, offering hot water (Very nice in cold weather) I will be adding pictures of all the onigiris I had eaten, some are discontinued. I have basically eaten all the old menu except the one with fried chicken (includes Kpop) Every onigiri is big & they do not skimp on the filling. I tend to go for at least 1 classic & 1 "fancy" one. 2 is enough for me & 3 honestly is overkill but I do enjoy having multiple flavors. I have experienced both pre & ante virality & I can say for sure the quality remained the same. I did go less after it went viral as it is always packed, but they have a system & they hired more workers! I truly believe they deserve the hype & I am very happy that their business is going so well. All in all, very delicious. Would always go. I recommend the Salmon Luxe & eel! (But honestly everything is good)View more
The atmosphere is good; it's not really a dinning experience as in there is space to sit but very cramped However, the onigiris really make up for it they are good & the price is perfect for a student like me. The menu is really well made sure to find something that tickles your fancy. Service is a bit rough but it is to be expected for such a small space. The people are always nice & professional.View more
Price is ok but overall a little underwhelming in flavour. Not exactly like Japanese onigiri but a more westernized version with interesting varieties. Needs more salt & seaweed must be crispier.View more
Incredible onigiri, with snappy nori, perfectly cooked rice & amazing fillings! It's quite a small place so it's difficult to find seating if it's busy but eating in is a must, since the decor & presentation are very lovely. Many vegetarian, fish & meat-based options.View more
It's actually quite good. I was skeptical at first because of some reviews saying they got food poisoning, glad to know the staff corrected the hygiene. Prices are fair (between 3.99 & 5.75) & they really stuff it to the max : onigiris are big & filling. I bought 3 : korean chicken & tama, the salmon avocado & the beef. Definitely get the salmon & avocado & try a 2nd one. A perfect place for takeout lunch since the shop is quite small.View more

Large Onigiris with great variety, very filling too :) Definitely try the chef's special those are the best! Great choice of songs for in-door dining btw 😄 Miso soup was also deliciousView more
One word, delicious... It was worth waiting in line for 5-10 minutes. Inside, there are a few seats available but it's very small. We ordered a bit of everything to try including the unagi, soy egg yolk, spicy raw tuna, Korean fried chicken & the salmon luxe. To be honest, the simpler the tastier! So the spicy tuna & soy egg yolk were my favorite. The salmon luxe had both tuna & salmon in it, but I couldn't taste the difference, so what's the point of getting it. Also, very good quality price. You get a huge onigiri for about 4$ if you go with the classics but it can go to 8$.View more
A good choice for an easy & fun lunch. The onigiri are very fresh & tasty. You can easily eat for under 10$ if you want to or try the chef's specials for a bit of a treat. Definitely worth trying out a couple. It's a cute spot to sit & eat.View more

No hate towards the business at all, but I think the food is really mid & I can make better onigiris at home, so I wouldn't recommend ! I took the friend chicken (this was more like grilled, there was not crispiness or batter at all??) & salmon one, which both really lacked flavor. They are huge tho, which is nice, but at the end of the day, it's just rice! Did not understand the hype around this?View more
Très bon onigiris, l'attente en vaut la peine ❤️View more
Tiny place with big flavors. There is a line, & the provided shelter doesn't really do anything to help. Not sure why it said "STM" on it, but... C'est la vie (c'est la vie... That's life) Go get an onigiri. It's good here.View more
For the price & portion size, this place is fantastic. I'm a pretty big eater, so sushi meals are usually expensive but here I'm full for about 20$. I will say the ingredients are not the freshest (I don't recommend the tuna) nor is the rice the best seasoned, but for the price it's great!View more
New gem in the hood on Monkland ave. Handmade fresh onigiri. Recommended: Fuji mountain onigiri & the almond tofu dessert.View more
this was a very pleasantly surprising discovery !! the onigiris are surprisingly cheap : & it's not because the quality is bad. there's a lot of filling, & it's good quality : fresh fish, egg, cheese, avocado, etc. the employees were nice & hard at work, the kicthen was clean. the onigiris were very filling & I felt satisfied after one. it was very crowded, I guess it was a victim of it's own success !! we managed to find a seat, wasn't the most comfortable, but it wasn't too bad. i'll definitely be going back for an affordable delicious meal !!View more
