We had one of the best meals we have had in Montreal. The grilled calamari was done to perfection, the garlic bread with tomato & Manchego cheese was fantastic. The staff was amazing, the decor is perfect & the music helps transports you to Spain. We were able to talk with the chef & you can see how passionate he is to serve fantastic authentic Spanish tapas & dishes. Trust me you will have a fantastic meal here. We are already think of when we can go back. Oh by the way, be sure to order the Ole Sangria, it is simply the best one I have ever had.View more
This place is really just OK… nice location & view. Probably ok if you want to just have a beer & sangria on a terrace with some apps. If you're looking for anything more, this is probably not the place. Food was overly salted & not so tasty. Some menu items are misleading. I ordered what I thought was chorizo & ended up with a pizza (no sign of the chorizo). Some items are way overpriced. Most expensive mussels I've ever seen (double the price of any other restaurant for the same portion) & the sauces were off. Waiter brought all of our tapas at once, completely crowded the tiny table they gave us & made things very uncomfortable. I ordered a martini & got a glass of green foamy olive juice (which I sent back…). The staff is inexperienced & that's quite obvious. Don't charge fine dining pricing if you can't deliver on the experience.View more

Definitely one of the best places in Sainte-Anne. Food is outstanding & there is always a nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed the octopus, calamari & paella. My wife loved the sangria. Service can improve as well as the pan tumaca.View more
J'ai récemment eu le plaisir de dîner à **Olé Tapas Bistro**, & je dois dire que c'était une expérience incroyable ! J'ai goûté la **Gallega** - un délicieux plat de patatas bravas avec des crevettes sautées dans de l'huile d'olive & de l'ail. Les portions étaient très généreuses, parfaites pour partager ou à savourer seul. Leur **sangria** est incontournable - honnêtement, la meilleure de la ville ! L'ambiance était festive & animée, ce qui a ajouté à l'expérience globale, & le service était professionnel & rapide. Ils ont également une terrasse chauffée si vous préférez vous asseoir à l'extérieur, ce qui est un plus, surtout quand il fait plus frais. **Overall, we loved it:** We had a great Sunday lunch with the family. The service was excellent & quick, just what you'd expect from a good Taberna. The head chef is very engaged & takes the time to greet guests at the door, adding a personal touch to the experience. The seafood tapas (shrimps, fried calamari, marinated anchovies) were perfectly cooked & well balanced. The shrimp were fresh & tender, & the calamari were well-seasoned, crispy, & not greasy-some of the best I've tried in all of Montreal. The Bacalao croquetas were spot on & comparable to what you'd be served in Spain. We liked them so much that we re-ordered. The cheese platter, though a bit pricey, was really good & would make a great starter along with their Sangria. The tortilla de patatas was average; I think there's room for improvement here. The bottom was burnt, & the texture was dry & crumbly-overcooked. The pan con tomate was disappointing. The bread didn't stand out (it felt store-bought), & the tomatoes weren't fresh & tasted as if they were mixed with spices or condiments. It's a simple tapa that should have been executed better. Unfortunately, the grilled chicken skewers were not up to par. I wouldn't recommend them. They were dry, lacked seasoning, & didn't taste fresh or made to order.View more

We went for a girls' lunch. We were seated on the terrace which would be so much nicer if there was not the large awning blocking the sun & if there were more greenery around. We started with sangria which was very nice but was lacking in fruit. The food on the other hand was delicious. The croquets were very flavorful, the calamari was amazing & light tasting & the potato with shrimp dish was very good with just the right amount of spice. I thoroughly enjoyed the mushrooms with smoked paprika. I will definitely go back.View more
The last time we were at Ole Tapas was about 2-3 years ago. Don't get me wrong, the food was ok, but not as good as the last time. Not too many patrons in the restaurant. Maybe it's because the menu was more professional, but I really think that food just isn't as good. Ordered the red wine sangria, but it lacked fruit, only 2 slices of oranges & wasn't strong at all. Also, for a Spanish Tapas restaurant, they didn't even have grilled sardines. We mentioned this to the waitress, but no body asked us why. I don't think we will go back.View more

They need to improve the bechamel amount in the croquetas & add jam croquetas to the Menu. It will be nice if they can get Estrella de Galicia or 1906 beer which are one the best around the world . Wonderful Sangria. Wonderful place for sharing with friends or your girlfriend.

The best seafood paella I ever had paired with the most down to earth staff who are super knowledgeable about the menu. My husband & I throughly enjoyed our time here. We shared 5 tapas, a paella & a pitcher of their cava sangria, I’d highly recommend this place.View more

The sangria was very tasty & unlike in other restaurants not too sweet & full of juice, so you actually taste the wine! I will be back.

The tapas were excellent. We were 3 for lunch & loved every tapas. I especially recommend the octopus. It was so tender, it melted in my mouth!
The Cava sangria is delicious & refreshing.
Will definitely be back, especially this summer when the terrasse will be open overlooking the lake.

FANTASTIC!! Amazing olives (chupadero, we bought some from the little shop they have up front) & we enjoyed every single dish we ordered. The Sangria Olé is intense, definitely not for the lightweights like me, but delicious!

Nous avons choisi ce resto suite à une recommandation d'une amie & parce qu'il était côté #1. Mais il n'est pas à recommander parce que le service n'était pas acceptable.
Nous avons commandé le pichet de sangria & les entrées à 16h (croquettes, pieuvre, assiettes de viandes froides, calmars, pain, patates) & les plats principaux à 17h (2 sortes de paella) & nous avons reçu les patates vers la fin de la soirée après qu'on l'ait demandé à 2 reprises & les calmars frits en tout dernier parce qu'ils les avaient clairement oublié quand on leur a posé la question.
Quand on a reçu les plats principaux à partager, la serveuse n'a pas changé nos assiettes. Il fallait que je lui demande de changer les assiettes pour un assiette plus grand.
La bouteille d'eau était vide & il fallait attendre longtemps avant qu'un serveur se présente pour demander de la remplir, à chaque fois.
Avoir une facture de 200$ avant taxes & pourboire n'est pas justifiée dans cette ambiance.
