We ordered a paella to share & a variety of hot & cold tapas. The food was very fresh & flavourful & the portions were perfect. Chef Nicolas took the time to welcome us & Ainsley ensured that we were well taken care of throughout the evening. We will definitely be back again soon to enjoy another family dinner by the waterfront!View more
Beautiful surroundings. Staff very friendly & welcoming. Very quick service. Shame about the food. The garlic mushrooms were very bland & couldn't even taste any garlic. The sea food paella was ok but again lacked flavour. Disappointing not to enjoy the food in such great surroundings.View more
Excellent Tapas! La paella est vraiment très bonne! Très bons cocktails & vins espagnol! Service impeccable, Magnifique terrasse. View more
The food was EXTREMELY good & the service was impeccable!!! We had the paella, the grilled calamari, the croqueras de baccalao & the sangria & it was amazing. Chef Nico answered our questions & you could tell he put all his heart in his work. We will be back, thank you!View more
We had a wonderful dinner on the waterfront. Service was excellent. The menu is small but includes many favorite tapas. Chef's kiss for the paella. RecommendedView more
Beautiful terrasse location & atmosphere. Had a good time chatting while waiting for the food to arrive. The paella took a little more time to prepare but we enjoyed the appetizers. Food was delicious & smelled amazing. Will come back again if the occasion arises.View more
The Paella is basically the worst I ever had. I have it three stars credit to the good service.View more
View more
The food was very expensive for what we got. 3 piece of calamari for 25$? Really? 50$ for small paella? The calamari was oily, but didn't prepare us to the paella. Too salty, barley any seafood on it, & 50$. When we note that, they offer some water" to deal with the saltines... & if this is not enough, they've mentioned, after the fact, that this is a soft opening... With these prices. We'll not go again even if it was free.View more
We got the seafood paella for $50, & it was super salty, missing spices, & was pretty skimpy on contents. We also got a side of grilled callimari for $25 & only got 3 pieces (which were slightly overdone & very oily). Overall, I'm not impressed with the food. We have had some very nice paella in the past, unfortunately this place did not even meet minimum expectations. The view outside was enjoyable.View more
The best seafood paella I ever had paired with the most down to earth staff who are super knowledgeable about the menu. My husband & I throughly enjoyed our time here. We shared 5 tapas, a paella & a pitcher of their cava sangria, I’d highly recommend this place.View more
Let's start with the service. Ask for your server to be Bianca. She is very knowledgeable about all menu items. She made great recommendations on the food. Make sure you order the appetizer for 2-3 & order the Iberico ham for the $10 extra. It melts in your mouth
The seafood paella was as always done to perfection. I also order the grilled bread with garlic & olive oil.
I don't get out to the West Island as often as I would like but when I do OLE Tapas will be a destination.View more
Friendly service, good food & very nice establishment. I had the seafood paella, albondigas (meat balls) patatas braves & garlic shrimp, it was all very good!
Quality of the food is still great. The black paella seems to be in a bigger dish than I remember, but delish. Being on the water, it wouldn't hurt to look into spraying Mosquito-Less (garlic product, non-toxic). Slapping at mosquitos while you eat a lovely dinner takes away from the experience.
Excellent food. Ordered 2 paella & a few appetizers. Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned & tasty.
The waiter was a very nice younger person, but he worked hard for us & he knew the menu.
Not cheap, but not wallet busting either.
I'd go back again.
Excellent ambiance! Awesome Tapas ! & Better Paella. The Sangria did not disappoint
Great meal! Two tapas plus a paella the perfect amount of food. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Will certainly be back soon.
The appetizers (Pan Con Ajo, Gambas Plancha & Anchoas del Cantabrico) was excellent but the Paella de Carne was not very good. The rice seemed overcooked yet did not have the crispy bottom, the meat seemed dry & old (distinctive after taste) & there were no vegetables other than two pickled peppers layered on top. Did not feel it was worth the price. The waitress was very friendly & informative & everything came on time.
Lovely setup on the terrace. Great friendly service. Food was great, & best authentic cuisine I have found here. Tapas were excellent. Only had one of the paellas... truthfully disappointing. Will try another one next time. A little pricey also but still very recommend. Will definitely be back!!
Great food, beautiful view! Great staff!
We only had tapas, as we did the 3-5pm menu... can't wait to try paella.
Refurbished in the bright colours of Espagna we have returned to Ole Tapas after the lock down & the best restaurant in the West (of the island of
Montreal) is still our first choice when we dine out & dont want to drive downtown.
Nice selection of wine by the glass, extensive list of hot & cold starters & paellas. We dined facing the canal & locks of Ste Anne & the
St. Lawrence river. Family owned & operated, in the kitchen & on the floor, the food & service is personal & tops.
Don't take my word for it, go there "worth a detour".
Encore excellent
Wow,wow & juste wow
Our most recent visit coincided with Christopher, "oyster shucker" par excellence, doing his thing with these perfect mollusks from P.E.I., we managed 30 of those critters between us two. We left not a single grain of inky stained rice of the Paella con Pulpo, our main course. In the kitchen the word is Spanish.
Owner/chef Paco & his crew serve a changing variety of cold & hot tapas & of course Paella, all delicious, authentic.
Service is personal & efficient. Margo who manages the dining room, will greet you like a regular, even on your first visit.
Michelin would say "worth a detour".
