Loved the chimney cakes, had the pistachio cake with pistachio spread as well as the hazelnut & Nutella one, both delicious, well worth the detour & wait time for a hot & fresh pastry.😋

A must-visit also for my Christmas shopping - amazing ,authentic Chimney Cakes freshly made in different flavors ,very professional, fantastic, friendly owner & staff. They even have special Christmas boxes for 4 Chimney Cakes. Absolutely lovely place! Easily 5 🌟.

Tucked at the corner of Rue Rachel & Rue St-Hubert, Ol' Sweet Pâtisserie is a delightful little spot that dessert lovers should definitely know about. Parking can be a bit tricky on busy weekends, but once you step inside, the effort feels completely worth it. The cozy space is filled with the smell of freshly baked pastries, & it instantly puts you in a good mood.
The staff here are warm, welcoming, & clearly passionate about what they do. They take the time to explain their treats & help you choose, which makes the experience feel personal & inviting. There are only a few seats inside, so it's more of a grab-&-go kind of place, but everything is made fresh & beautifully presented.
The star of the show is their Hungarian kürtõskalács (chimney cakes). Watching them prepare these sweet, spiral pastries is part of the fun-the dough is rolled, coated with sugar, & baked until perfectly golden, filling the air with a mouthwatering aroma. You can then customize your order with your choice of toppings, which adds a nice personal touch.
The pastries themselves are light, crisp, & sweet, with just the right balance of flavor & texture. Each bite feels indulgent but never heavy, the kind of dessert that makes you pause & enjoy the moment. Everything we tasted was fresh & made with care.
Ol' Sweet Pâtisserie isn't just another dessert shop-it's a charming little experience. Between the friendly service, unique creations, & unmistakable quality, it's clear that a lot of thought goes into everything they make.
If you have a sweet tooth, this place is definitely worth the detour. A well-deserved five stars.
This reminds me so much if my childhood! It is delicious, & just the smell of freshly baked brioche reminds me of the romanian sunday markets. I send a photo of the Nutella filled Kurtoskallach to my mom & she was surprised I found this in Montreal. What a treat!
I walked in here craving something sweet & didn't have high expectations but I was BLOWN AWAY by this pastry. I got the cinnamon sugar traditional flavour & I still cannot believe the texture of it? It's crispy on the outside & the most insane soft on the inside. I took it to-go & when I was handed my order the cook asked me to eat it as soon as possible because it's best eaten fresh. I'm so glad he told me that, because I ate it the second I walked out & by the last bite I could tell he was right! I cannot wait to be back
Pâtisserie Ol' Sweet is easily one of the most memorable dessert spots I've come across. Their specialty-kürt?skalács, or chimney cakes-is a must-try: freshly baked, perfectly crisp, & filled with creative toppings that make each bite unforgettable.
Parking can be a bit tricky, & seating is limited, so it's not ideal for lingering. But if you're looking for something unique & delicious, this place absolutely delivers. Great for a quick treat or impressing out-of-town guests with something they've probably never had before.
