I love the cute little Japanese cafe in the plateau. I ordered the Japanese curry on a cold autumn afternoon & it was very warm & comforting. Their black sesame latte was also great.

This Japanese café was beyond my expectations! We had hojicha, café latte, & tamago sando - they were all very good. The service was great too. I can't wait to come back & try the ramen & other items on the menu.

We got up bright & early & it was a delightful way to kick off the day! Filled with delicious & tantalizing flavors in an inviting atmosphere.

We couldn't resist trying the beloved Tamago Sando, &, as it turned out, it was an exquisite choice. The dish featured fluffy egg, & the delightful addition of salmon was simply divine.

Equally impressive was the Ebi burger, which was just as incredible & satisfying. We were also fortunate enough to sample the weekend special: the Katsu Sando. It was nothing short of amazing, full of complimentary flavors that came together so harmoniously, showcasing the expert craftsmanship of the chef (whose genius we already knew).

Every drink we ordered was perfection. The sesame latte was creamy & nuanced, while the matcha yuzu lemonade provided a refreshing flourish that balanced the richness of our food.

For dessert, we enjoyed a lovely red bean dorayaki-light, fluffy, & filled with sweet red bean paste; it was lovely.

A fantastic start to the day, with every dish expertly crafted & every sip delightful. We left feeling satisfied & eager to return for more of their innovative & delicious food! 🌟🍽?🍵

I stumbled across this cafe while i was walking in the area. There are lots of seating with great lighting & lots of large windows for some sunlight.

I got the matcha latte & sesame latte. The matcha latte had great flavour & i didnt add any sweetner (maple syrup is offered). It was perfect! Then i ordered a sesame latte but note that this is already pre-sweetened. It was a little sweet for me but there was a really robust sesame flavour which i love. For lunch, i also ordered an ebi (shrimp) burger. If you've been to Japan's McDonalds, then you know how popular ebi burgers are. I have to say this tasted better than the McDonalds' one so i was pleasantly surprised.

one of the better matcha drinks i've had in canada so far. the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk was so so good! if i didn't come 10 min before closing i would are ordered another one for the road! the yuzu limeade was refreshing & actually had great yuzu flavor & pulp. most yuzu drinks i've had at other places don't have a strong flavor but this one hit the spot. highly recommend this cafe!!

Ohayo is my go to spot on my day off. The food is well executed & most importantly comforting. The service from the team is personable & attentive. Ohayo is a no brainer for me. Good job team!

Very cute spot, didn't get anything but their matcha, they don't make it the traditional way it was a little disappointing 6.5/10 for the matcha latte (not the best, but I have seen worse). Their food looks very good, I'd have to go back to try it. Their table have a sign that says that we can't study there, but still there were people studying after the lunch'rush'. Nice café!

Ok wow. I tried the battered & fried shrimp burger (ebi burger) & it was the most well executed, delicious, perfect shrimp burger I've ever had. The decaf latte I ordered with it was really good as well. They were also pretty quick. They have open windows to the street for fresh air & people watching. & wifi if you want to do some work. I highly recommend for a quick lunch or meetup with friends. It's a little pricey but worth it.

The cold noodles I ordered was nicely presented & delicious. There seemed like very little broth at first, but there was just enough for the portion of noodles, though I would've preferred the ability to dip my noodles in a smaller vessel via the traditional way. A minor complaint: I discovered the spice powder AFTER I had finished my noodles because it was hidden BEHIND the bowl & out of my line of sight. Also, the napkin they gave me with the bowl was partially dampened with water. I found it odd that the dish itself was thoughtfully presented, yet they couldn't use the same attention to detail in the accoutrements. A small yet annoying flub.

A wide variety of set menu items & a constantly changing menu of refreshing specials, with an addition of great coffee, matcha & hojicha lattes. Delicious food, great atmosphere & a beautiful, bright location. On the menu: • Lamb Mazemen: Pulled lamb, black sesame paste, green onions • Soba Tanuki: Ikura, daikon, wakame, shiso • Tamago Sando with Mimolette cheese • Large salad: Green mix, orange, beets, onion vinaigrette (This is a side dish version.) • Yuzu lemonade Instagram: @ohayocafemtl

Ohayo Café offers a unique dining experience where customers order at the counter & are then served at the table. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed, & here's why: Hojicha latte - The perfect harmony between the fragrant hojicha tea & creamy milk creates a delightful blend. Ebi (shrimp) Burger - Upon cutting it in half, you're greeted by generous chunks of succulent shrimp nestled within the patty. Each bite bursts with flavor, showcasing the freshness & quality of the ingredients. It's a must-try. Burrata Mazemen - Delicious, but be warned that it can be a bit heavy if enjoyed solo.

Ohayo Cafe, a quaint new place on Mont-Royal, at the corner of rue de Buillon. Blending japanese ideas with a Montreal feel, they offer a variety of favourites. I had the tamago sando 「タマゴサンド」, which to my surprise was served like the fancy French toast you'd find at l'Avenue not too far away. Served on a pair of crisp golden toast, the egg salad is light & flavourful. Butter hits your tongue, as your palate is flooded with subtle flavours of egg, Dijon, & a marinated Sancho pepper- which comes in its pod, in-lieu of the usual slightly numbing powder you get on an unagi bowl. I ordered the sando with a flat white. The coffee, of course, made with the best-in-class La Marzocco espresso machine, gave notes of the soft cascara of the bean. I'm happy to see that Japan's spirit, in their meticulous quality & attention to coffee, has materialized here as well. In all, the duo came to 17.53$, with a 15% tip the bill for 1 came at 20.15$. Which I find reasonably priced for the quality presented. I have yet to try other items on the menu, but rest assured that whilst enjoying my own, I was witness to a room of people enjoying the rest of the menu. Very clearly enjoying their share.
