In fact, the whole point of this review is to explain how good the coffee & the food are !
I am quite the cortado lover & it is incredible how they are able to take such care of each coffee. Their matcha is definitely worth it & I would invite everyone to give this a go! One of my favorite coffee shops in Montreal is September café because of their consistency & each barista being skilled with making precisely every kind of coffee. This is a coffee shop that is quite close in terms quality of coffee that September café makes.
Which brings me to the food! This is such a delight & it feels like I've gone back to Japan all over again! Rich, comforting! Their dishes are something that I can continue eating all day long especially the mazemen. I strongly recommend trying each of their dish!
Atmosphere: calm, welcoming, peaceful & beautiful! This is the kind of coffee shop that makes you want to stay long hours & enjoy the vibrant & serene place! This is feels like a coffee shop in Copenhagen.
Service: this is where they stand out from most! Incredibly kind, caring & focus, each coffee & meal is being cared for. The owner is incredibly kind & knowledgeable when it comes to coffee (grains, technique & other topics). This is the kind of coffee shop where I would love a James Hoffman to pass by & drink their coffee.

Lovely café, seems new in the area. It had lots of space on a Sunday morning but filled up quickly closer to lunchtime. The atmosphere is nice for a casual date or just hanging out with friends, or even for a solo date! I got the keema curry, which was a simple dish & lacking vegetables, but very filling. It was my first time trying keema curry & I learned that I prefer traditional japanese curry. Service is friendly, I would come back & try other food items on the menu!
Ohayo est devenu mon café préféré !! La propriétaire & son équipe sont tellement adorables, le café (3e vague) est toujours excellent! Chaleureux & lumineux, ce café invite à la détente & la lecture.... & que dire de leur ramen tan-tan ?! Onctueux, goûteux, épicé & complexe!
Ohayo Cafe is really nice place! I've been there several times, from working to just share a coffee with good company. I strongly recommend this place. Service is also great! They are kind & prepare your food/order really quick... I like a lot this place
Excellent service pour take out . Prix du petit matcha à près de 7$ avec taxes très moyen ..Pour la moitié de ce prix à 1 coin de rue sur la même rue vous en trouverez un bien meilleur sans parler du café ou des excellent croissant au saint Louis café . A bon entendeur !
Très bel endroit pour manger le lunch aux saveurs japonaises ! On a beaucoup aimé les patates & le burger aux crevettes. Ils ont du wifi pour travailler un peu & la rue piétonne mont-royal est très animées. Le personnel est serviable & poli. Une belle expérience vécue & ça ne sera pas la dernière ! Note : j'ai moins aimé le fait que la barista s'est permis de prendre la cuillère & mélanger mon café mocha pour me montrer comment faire alors que 1) je n'ai pas demandé & 2) je voulais prendre une photo. Elle s'est excusée par la suite mais quand même...
Ohayo café was very nice! They have a lot of options I want to try. Their tamago sando & ebi sandwich were good but not wow. I saw people eating the ramen & it looked really good. I'd definitely try that next time.
Délicieux dîner japonais! J'ai pris les nouilles froides aux crevettes & elles étaient fraiches, gouteuses & originales. Mon amie a pris les nouilles à l'agneau que je recommande aussi chaudement. L'endroit est lumineux & le café est très bon.
I went here yesterday &, overall, enjoyed my experience. The cafe is nice, with many people coming in & out. It's a nice place to sit down with a friend or by yourself if you want to pretend to work (but secretly watch people outside). I was here with a few friends & we shared the noodle dish with braised lamb & the Katsu Sando. The noodles were really nice, dressed with a very delicious sauce. However, the lamb was a bit dry for my taste. The Katsu Sando was pretty big, but I wasn't a fan of the horseradish/mustard dressing. I thought the flavor was too strong. The service was courteous, but I didn't feel the warmth of a small place which is usually typical in Montreal, where you can chat with the people working there & learn a bit more about the neighborhood or the restaurant.

Nouveau café resto japonais sur le plateau super intéressant à essayer. Leurs fenêtres s'ouvrent complètement sur la rue ce qui donne un resto ouvert agréable avec une belle ambiance. Leurs matchas sont très bons. Leur menu est original avec plusieurs options. L'assiette toast salade tamago (oeufs) & celle du burger crevette sont bonnes mais manquent peut-être un kick ou plus de saveurs. Toutefois on a vraiment aimé l'accompagnement de pommes de terre avec leurs sauces maison, ainsi que leur soupe à l'asperge. J'y retournerai sûrement pour essayer d'autres choses qui piquent ma curiosité !
Belle place pour prendre un déjeuner ou café. Le repas est frais. Mon coup de coeur est le burger. Il y a une belle ambiance & le service est courtois & efficace

My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed, & here's why: Hojicha latte - The perfect harmony between the fragrant hojicha tea & creamy milk creates a delightful blend. Ebi (shrimp) Burger - Upon cutting it in half, you're greeted by generous chunks of succulent shrimp nestled within the patty. Each bite bursts with flavor, showcasing the freshness & quality of the ingredients. It's a must-try. Burrata Mazemen - Delicious, but be warned that it can be a bit heavy if enjoyed solo.
