Review Summary

Ô Petit Paris is widely celebrated as a refined Parisian bakery cafe on the Plateau, delivering flaky croissants, wafer-thin pastries, and superb breads like baguettes and pain suisse, with many reviews calling it a standout in Montreal and comparing it to French bakeries. The space is described as warm, chic, and inviting, with attentive, friendly staff who frequently go the extra mile, answer questions about ingredients, and keep service efficient even when busy. Prices are noted as higher, reflecting artisanal quality, but many feel the value is justified by the craftsmanship and the freshness of pastries, breads, and seasonal treats. Highlights repeatedly mentioned include the kouign amann, chocolatine, cannelés, brioche, chouquettes, and the baba au rhum, while some items receive mixed reactions (certain cannelés too crispy, some cakes or tiramisu not to taste). The bakery has expanded its space, improving ambiance and accessibility, and occasional complaints about coffee quality or line length are tempered by praise for the overall experience. Overall, it is described as a top bakery in Montreal, a reliable destination for breakfast, lunch pastries, and a Parisian tasting journey.

Such a lovely bakery on Mont-Royal Avenue! The variety of pastries is impressive & makes choosing a challenge :)
The service is very friendly. I tried the famous croissant, pecan cookie, & Cherie roll - everything was absolutely delicious, with a perfectly balanced level of sweetness. I'll definitely be back to try more (& the bread!)

Oh I wish this place existed in Toronto. A croissant from a reputable bakery back home will run you $4.95+, here it's only $2.95 for a plain butter croissant & only $3.95 for a Kouign Amann. Everything was delicious & the staff are super friendly. There was a lineup out the door on a Monday mid morning & I definitely saw a healthy number of baguettes go out the door. They have a selection of pastries, desserts & bread. Def adding to my list of must visits for my future visits!

I am overjoyed to finally have a bakery in the hood with a great quality & collection of breads & pastries. The choices you encounter from the very front door are just pure pleasant which is why we love bakeries! The prices are a bit too heavy, & the staff can certainly be much nicer than so defensive & cold... but overall, it's a great bakery :)

Bread is fantastic, extremely well priced for such a good bakery, just $4.50 for one of the best sourdough loaves ive had

After arriving in Montreal, a local recommended Au Petit Paris for authentic Parisian pastries. Located on Mont-Royal Avenue, a vibrant pedestrian street full of cafes & restaurants, the bakery immediately impresses with its elegant interior & beautifully displayed, refined pastries.

The staff behind the counter were friendly, welcoming, & attentive, answering questions about the ingredients. They offer a wide variety of items, including cannelli, kouign-amann, fruit tarts, & cruffins. I tried a passion fruit cruffin ($4.00 CAD), kouign-amann ($4.30 CAD), & a Chocolate Noisette (~$4.00 CAD).

The Chocolate Noisette was excellent-crispy outside & soft, flavorful inside. The passion fruit cruffin was also very good, with a subtle fruit flavor & a tender texture. The kouign-amann, however, wasn't my favorite; it was too crispy & crunchy throughout, but lacked softness inside, & I prefer the ones at Kouign-Amann Bakery right down the avenue.

There are a few small tables inside, & on the day I visited, it wasn't crowded. There's also a restroom for customers. Overall, the staff are friendly, the pastries are elegant & refined, & I enjoyed my visit. I would definitely return & recommend this bakery.

A good bakery where you can sit to enjoy the delicious pastries.
I really liked the lemon meringue pie, that's the closest to what you can taste in France (although the white chocolate on the top is not adding anything to the experience).
With each pastry, you can see different cooking techniques used to create each recipe.
The taste is good & the balance is here, but for me it sometimes lacked something to have an explosion of flavor.
I would definitely go back though since I only tried 3 pastries & there is a nice choice there :).
Go & enjoy it ;)

What a gem I found. Googled for a bakery near me & Oh Petit Paris popped up. The posted pictures looked so good I decided to try it this morning. Great neighborhood. No car traffic in front of the bakery. Got there around 6:20 am for a fresh baguette, croissant oatmilk latte & coffee. OMG the pictures of the bread can only give you a small idea of how goog the bread & pastries are. One of the best baguettes I have had & the croissant was perfection. They had so many breads I wanted to try. The multi-grain will be my next choice tomorrow.

Possibly the best bakery/ café in Montreal, everything gets close to perfection: pastries, coffee, ambiance, interior design. I have rarely seen a more friendly & efficient service. It is difficult to find anything to improve, congratulations to the owner & staff. Highly recommended.

This bakery/pastry shop is pure eye candy. The presentation of the pastries is magnificent.
What impressed me the most was the service. The servers are very friendly yet professional. Handling the take-out & payment were super efficient. I'll come again to try different pastries

This is arguably now my favorite bakery in Montreal. They have an amazing collection of breads & pastries & all of them are extremely reasonably priced. It is hard to miss the shop if you are walking down Mont Royal street. The staff is always super friendly & helpful & give great recommendations, tailored to exactly what one is looking for. They have a place to sit inside as well. I love going back to this place!

The caramel cruffin is a very unique & stand out dessert. I love getting it for friends to try they always have a reaction! The customer service is also top notch - I appreciate the worker who helped me figure out what combinations of croissants to get within a budget. It's a classic French style bakery that's def worth the hype.

New review: unfortunately the quality is slipping after the expansion. & I've been a customer since the very early days. Not sure if anything is still made with French flour, baguette not as superb as before, & a less interesting selection of pastries that often lack deliciousness. Started out as a respectable quality bakery in the French sense. Now it is turning into another québécois opération with too sweet pastries & average bread. & the name says Paris, not Quebec City, so I expect at least a rough version of French quality. :p I may need to look for another favorite. Old review: Quite solid bread & patisserie goods. Probably better than Toledo at this point.

This is truly the best bakery in Montreal. Everything is so delicious, their viennoiseries are very fresh & tasty. They recently expanded their store & now they have more variety of bread & patisserie. BTW, they also serve fresh juice!

Very good croissants. This bakery lives up to the hype. The croissants are crispy & flaky on the outside & soft in the center. Unfortunately, mine had a massive hole in the center but I think this may be a coincidence. The croissants were also very large.

The boys at the bakery blew my socks off 🦶🧦 such friendly young men 🫡 5 stars. However, the pastries were a solid four stars. Not the best croissant I've had but no complaints really. my girlfriend likes it with more butter. We also had the blue cheese & walnut bread which my girlfriend was scared of because she's picky & thought the cheese would smell... She's american. Her review after all: "ya i liked it"

Perfect French bakery! The reason their bread is so good is that they have so much traffic & everything is so fresh. They have a corn bread that is not what you're thinking. Pastries are so good.
